So, long story short... Season tickets fell in my lap. I am an eagles fan, from south jersey(go ahead and hit me with your best jokes) but the reason behind this post is... I am completely clueless when it comes to ketchup field. (in fact yesterday was my first game ever there).
So here's some questions I have....

What's the difference in tiers? I see a Premier, black and gold tier on the website.

I believe I am in section 512 and covered by the "roof"... or whatever you want to call the concrete overhang.

Next question. (I think this goes back tot he "tiers". What is the face value of the ticket? What can I resell them for realistically if I cant make the 5 hour ride.

I have everything coming in the mail late next week information wise, but I'll be honest, I'm an inpatient little pri*K hahhaha

Thanks for the help in advance.

O, and is it hard to purchase a parking pass *IF* it doesn't come part of the deal?

Section 512 should be under the roof. The lower part of the section may not be. Im rarely up there (but like it better) so I can't say for sure.

I haven't used my tickets in several years, so Im not 100% sure of the tiers. I think though that in response to people bitching about paying full price for preseason games, they went to a the tier system. Preseason tickets are now cheaper, B&G are regular priced games and Primer tickets are (I think) the 2 best games of the year and are more expensive. Essentially what they've done is reduce the price of the 2 preseason games by X amount, but added X amount to the 2 "Premier Games." Total amount for the season is the exact same, it's just distributed differently. The Steelers said "ok, we will lower your preseason tickets, but we're going to have to charge you extra for our "Premier Games" and the Yinzers bought it.

Face value varies by section. And I don't mean individual sections, I mean by level and position on the field. Generally though, the higher up you go like section 512, the cheaper they are, so that's good for you. I personally prefer to be higher. 512 is on the 30ish and IMO pretty damn good seats. Better than the 118 that I used to sit in (and pay more for). Im guessing that face in your area will be 100ish per ticket, average of course (see above).

    https://seatgeek.com/venues/heinz-field/seating-chart/pittsburgh-steelers-13702/section-512

Parking passes are available through Stubhub. I never got them with the seats, but I think going forward you can buy them in advance with your season tickets from the Steelers. I'd always park in the same garage which has risen to around $45/game lately. Given that more and more parking around the stadium is being developed for retail driving up the pay lots, pre purchased parking passes may be worth it.

Now for the resale part. Im going to take a lot of ****, but yeah....good luck. Contrary to popular belief support for the Steelers in terms of asses in the seats is merely average to slightly below average for the NFL, so reselling them isn't as easy as you may think especially if you expect to make a profit. Getting face for them especially early in the season probably wont be a problem. But if it's late November or December, and it's cold, and the Steelers are struggling, you're going to lose your ass. People just don't go to games in that situation. Period. There's little demand, so you will be left with worthless paper. Your best bet is identify which games you can't go to as early as possible and sell them as soon as you can.

I'm a Steelers fan thru and thru. If Eagles "Tix fell in my lap", I'd tape them to a parking meter and wouldn't worry in the least about making a profit off of them. I would actually scrape up .50 to mail them to the Iggles parking lot though. That's as generous as I could be.

Your best bet would be to offer them up here at face value as early in the process as possible.:hehehe:

I too live in South Jersey but am far far away from being an eagle fan. Love the Steelers so just give the tickets to me. I am not a big fan of Heinz field or the stadium where your birds play. Both cities have awesome baseball parks IMO.

    Im in Marlton.
I also like football and enjoy the steelers. I genuinely hate the Patriots, Ravens and have always liked Big Ben. ****, I would love to watch Hines ward so it's not like im buying cowboys tickets.

Also, I don't want to, or need to become rich off these tickets. My girlfriend and her family are from out there. They have season tickets also. So the idea is to sell 5 or 6 tickets a year. Go to 1 or 2(free place to live makes it easier) and then maybe come close to breaking even.

had this conversation with an Eagles fan in steelers country. Neither him nor I can figure out the hate for each other. Now if you offered me Penguins or Pirates season tickets I would poop on them and send them back. But the Eagles/steelers play each other once every 6 years and just because of pure odd will probably never meet in the playoffs.
Now add into the fact that I hate the Chiefs, Ravens, Patriots the Steelers are a solid team to root for in the AFC.

The Steelers and the Eagles play once every four years. And there's no chance they will ever play each other in the playoffs unless there's some type of realignment in the NFL.

With the increasing of the face value of tickets, if you can get your money back out of tickets your doing well. If your selling tickets prior to the season starting. Fans want the good games. They like the 1:00 and 4:00 pm games. Steelers fans do not seem to like the prime time slots as much, unless it's a big time opponent. To start this year the only tickets that you could of sold and probably got your money back and actually make a little would be the Falcons game, and the Patriots game. The Steelers actually do a sliding scale on the ticket value. Like face value of the Browns upper level was $96.00, Face value for the same ticket for the Patriots game is $126.00

Season tickets might be worth having if you live close. Maybe look into selling the PSL if you don't think you can make many games.

I will tell you this if Steelers some what tank, they give away tickets in droves, because then now one wants to go.

Even if weather gets cold or bad, a lot of women don't want to go and be cold, so then you got more tickets for sell by scalpers etc.

    Thank you Troy.
We figure to go out to 2-3 games. (we don't care who they play) so we'll take the shotty games. We don't need to make money off them but in 5-10 years, or whatever and we can sell the PSL is what we're looking at.

I went to the divisional game last year and ended up having a couple of extras. Lost close to $100 before I was finally able to get rid of them.

AND THAT WAS FOR A PLAYOFF GAME!

From my experience when purchasing tickets the quality definitely affect the price.
One ticket is the cheapest them to tickets then four then three then five and on up.
I bought five tickets together once I paid a premium price to get those five together. Then somebody backed out and trying to sell a single ticket was kind of tough ended up only getting half of what I originally paid for it. Then of course if you wait till game day it’s a lot harder to get top dollar for your tickets.
