That was a bigger screw up then Switzer letting the ball go on a kick off.

As predicted we made 0 moves to help us win in what could be Ben's last year.

    Disappointing.

I know. The Steelers way blah blah blah. Just sucks when you could add a great piece (e.g. Golden Tate) for a reasonable price when we sorely need a WR3.

Jenkins has not been good for the Giants this season. Maybe a move to a contender would have helped, but the player he has been this season really wouldn't be much of an upgrade.

No, it wasn't. It was a stupid gamble that turned into disaster, but it's not as bad as handing the other team the ball simply by not knowing the rules.

Yeah, the offense just looks like crap with what they have.

If they were going to make a trade, it should have been for help at cornerback or getting Bell to sign and unloading him. Failing that, I have no problem with them not making a deal.

The eagles will find that there are not enough balls to go around with Alshon jeffery, aghalor, jordan matthews back in the fold and now tate..... and lest not forget ertz and goedert at te... . This trade causes more problems than it solves...

Demaryius thomas has regressed back to his pre-peyton manning form....

All these contending teams now have to find a way to build chemistry with these new chess pieces with half the season already in the books.... these guys are in for a rude awakening and will end up playing for next yr

I have Ertz on my fantasy team. So I'm not all that excited about that trade.

In other news, who's to say the Steelers weren't on the phone?

They apparently weren't able to get what they wanted (a Cornerback from some people's reports) for what was expected and what was available.

As for Le'veon, I've had a pretty good feeling for a while he wasn't going to sign the tag before the deadline.

So the strategy this year is to score at least three touchdowns every game to win. Ok should be fun.

I wouldn't trade a 3rd for Tate either, he's a free agent after the season and the Steelers just spent a 2nd round pick on Washington. The bigger need was CB, Eli could come off PUP or Washington progresses to be the 3rd WR.

This is a great pick up for the Eagles, they needed someone other than Jeffery. Agholor and especially Matthews who was only seeing a few targets each game will take a back seat to Jeffery and Tate. Those two and Ertz will be getting the lions share.

Thomas will fare better with Watson throwing him the ball and having Hopkins opposite him.

They were good moves but we didn't need either one of them.

    You’re s self proclaimed realist aren’t you?
If so then you knew they wouldn’t make a trade. So why are you so upset?

I don’t understand people like you. The reasons we’ve come to love the team are the reasons you hate them.
Their method is proven. Get on board or get on.

The Pats way is to make trades and their method is proven. Lately whose is better? And no I'm not going to root for them just making a point.

Sorry, what did I miss? Who did the Pats pickup?

I think the Steelers made just as many trade deadline deals this week as your Patriots.

You're right they didn't this year. But overall they are a trade happy team. They did get Josh Gordon earlier in the season. Will it work out for them? I sure hope not.

I'm with you, Jenkins has not been good this year and I think he's being paid a pretty high salary too.

There was one player who was worth us trading for. And then Peterson asked not to be traded. So that was that.

I don’t think any of the other CBs on the market would be enough of an upgrade for us to trade for them.

Trading a pick for a WR in the last year of their contract would have been foolish.

The only other guy I’d maybe have wanted them to go for is Clinton Dix, but I’d want that trade in training camp, not halfway through the season.

The pets way works for them based on the way they run their team and there coaching. Steelers are different the way they have done things over the years is the reason most of us are fans

There’s really only a few options.

1 Be patient support the team and trust that the Steelers know what they’re doing.

2 Go route for another team whose way of doing business is more to your liking.

3 Or just do a bunch of non-stop bellyaching and complaining about everything. That’s seems to be the chosen option around here.
