Why does L.A. even have ONE NFL franchise let alone two? It's like another home game for every visiting team.

To be fair that was a BS penalty against the Bucs for defensive delay of game! Gave them that FG closer when they were just going to take the knee and Timeout on the next play!

Bengals won. Ravens lost. Steelers better be ready to win on the road.

Too bad Fitzpatrick didn't play the whole game vs Bengals. Steelers would be in better shape and could absorb some inevitable losses coming up.

I still can't believe how bad we looked against the Ravens at home. I do think we win this next game. I just have a feeling.

That game completely changed our philosophy. Now, we have a near 50/50 run-pass offense and damn if it isn't fun.

They don't. They have the Rams, who are liked, and the Chokers who nobody likes!

Yeah, it's true. The Steelers consistently dominate in the second half of the year... the first is just rough and full of super tight games.

I figure every team in the league will have to do a stint in LA eventually. Its like jury duty.

I don't recall Dawson and Faneca playing that much together?

Why? Squirrel Hill has some very nice houses. The area around Tree of Life isn't bad at all.

I may be biased. I lived walking distance from Tree of Life until I was eight.

The Pack at Rams, most entertaining NFL I've watched this year, but it is a home game for the Packers. Dean Spanos wanted the Chargers moved from SD because he didn't get his way, but the league didn't have to approve it. L.A. will probably be without an NFL team again within 5 years.
Yeah, you're right. #66 probably played with Jeff Hartungs more than anyone.

To be fair, the Dodgers are (just barely) in the world series playing today! Besides, there are Packers fans everywhere!

    It was changed for 2018.

ARTICLE 4. CATCH OR RECOVERY OF A FREE KICK

    1. (a) If a player of the receiving team catches or recovers the ball, he may advance.

    1. (b) If the ball is declared dead while in the simultaneous possession of two opposing players, the ball is awarded to the receiving team.

    1. (c) A player of the kicking team may legally touch, catch, or recover the ball if:
    1. it first touches a receiving team player; or
    2. it reaches or crosses the receiving team’s restraining line.

    1. (d) The ball is dead if
    1. it is caught or recovered by a player of the kicking team. If the catch or recovery is legal, the ball belongs to the kicking team at the dead-ball spot.
    2. it is not touched by the receiving team and touches the ground in the end zone (touchback).
ARTICLE 5. FREE KICK CROSSES GOAL LINE
It is a touchback, if a free kick:

    (a) is not touched by the receiving team, and the ball touches the ground in the end zone.

    (b) goes out of bounds behind the receiving team’s goal line;

    (c) strikes the receiving team’s goal post, uprights, or cross bar; or

    (d) is downed in the end zone by the receiving team.

ARTICLE 6. END OF FREE KICK
A free kick ends when either team possesses the ball, or when the ball is dead, if that precedes possession. A running play begins when the receiving team establishes possession of the ball.

Interesting that this is the rule for free kicks - but is it the same case for FGs? I think the defending team can recover a ball that bounces off the goalpost and try and return it, no?

I don't think so off the FG post but a short attempt can be returned .

It’s not a requirement, but it’s extremely rare that the player signaling for a fair catch isn’t the player to catch the ball. Switzer likely thought either Nix had to catch it or that he (Switzer) wasn’t permitted to.

How many times have the Browns fired a head coach immediately following a loss to the Steelers? Seems like it has happened a bunch.
