JuJu Smith-Schuster became "the first Steelers player in history to reach the 100-catch mark in his first 20 games. The fastest player to reach 100 career receptions prior to Smith-Schuster was actually…running back Le’Veon Bell, who in his second season caught the 100th pass of his career in his 23rd game. Wide receiver Courtney Hawkins was the previous record-holder at 27. Antonio Brown was behind him at 28."

"Smith-Schuster also has 1478 receiving yards in his career, which is already the fifth-most in team history through a player’s first two seasons. Currently, Mike Wallace is the only player in team history to reach 2000 yards by the end of his second season."

 

Glad we got him. Entertaining player, has a lot of aspects of some of the Steeler greats.

 

Love the kid. Wish we could clone him.

 

A lot of upside for this young player. Hopefully he keeps his head on straight, which I believe will be true and most of all good health. So glad the Steelers seen a bright young kid with a lot of maturity. So far a definite home run pick.

Mark Madden is just a Pittsburgh sports hater period. Not sure how he's even on the airways in that city.

 

What does he hate about JuJu? His ability to step in as a rookie and contribute like a vet last season or the way he's carried the passing game more than once this season? The only other thing I can think of would be JuJu laying out Burfict, one of the most memorable hits in Steelers history.

 

I'm on Twitter ( EVERYBODY hates him ) JuJu said something, I think before the 1st game...He was messin around some where and said he was lit...

Now Madden...In EVERY single tweet, calls out JuJu...If he drops a pass " well, at least he was lit "...He he has a mediocre game " Well, at least he was lit "

Oh, It's comical...He has the biggest hard on for JuJu I have ever seen...He is a real *******!

I think someone linked that article here during preseason. I dismissed it without checking to see who wrote it.

 

I’m pretty sure he posts here under several different usernames.

 

I love having JuJu as a Steeler and hope he's around a long time.

 

I wasn't too happy that he got him so early but man I am happy now. He's been everything we could ask for and more.

 

If that makes you sleep better at night... then go ahead and believe it.

 

I can see why he hates JuJu. It is hard to watch someone who is having fun and loves what he does for a living like JuJu does.

 

Same here. I didn't think JuJu was a good pick at the time when the team needed a CB or Safety. I'm glad I was wrong, and I'm glad we have him.

 

Whomever scouted JuJu needs to scout the db's.
