I haven't looked to hard at the RB class but some of the names I have been talking about are Penny, Ballage, Freeman and Chunn. I want to look a little more at this kid here from Auburn and want to hear from those who spend time watching film or have see this kid play. I listen to MTC on sirius radio and I really like Pat Kirwan and respect what he has to say. I am by no means saying he knows it all otherwise he wouldn't be on the radio but I feel he is pretty realistic, with that said he had Kerryon on for an interview yesterday and I was super impressed.

Of all the things KJ could talk about one of the first things he talked about was pass protecting. PK talked about how he showed flashes of Bell's skill set and compared him to Forte. I want to watch more of him but he is now on my radar as a guy I would like to consider as the Bell replacement. I was surprised when I looked him up to find this:

"Sometimes he plays with that Le'Veon Bell style where he glides until he sees it and then 'bang'. I thought he was a really competitive runner this year and he can play on all three downs so he has early value." -- NFC team regional scout

    Thoughts?

I talked about him early in the process and even had him as our pick in an early mock. He's pretty good and a huge Steelers fan. They met with him early in the process. These early guys we meet with always seem to end up as our picks at some point. He and James Washington are two of those guys. We will see.

Everything I have read about KJ sounds great. I didn't watch Auburn a whole lot last year. I'm notorious for forgetting that college football exists outside the Big 10. I would be more than happy with this pick especially if it's in the 3rd.

I have kind of developed a man crush on Rashaad Penny. You just can't beat that type of production. Plus the one thing we haven't had since Fast Willie is a home run hitter in the backfield. Penny could be that guy.

I watched Penny too and he was the first RB I really liked, I was very impressed with him in the bowl game I watched. Also one thing I read on Penny was he didn't catch a lot of ball in college but I saw him take a dump off to the house for like 80 yds.....that look good to me.

Colbert go get him. I’d be happy with Chubb or Sony too. I don’t think guice is a first rd talent just based on last year. I’ve seen a mock of KJ being the 3rd RB drafted after Barkley and Guice. I need to check him out more. What does he do better than Ballage who I’ve seen as high as 3 and as low as 5?

My only thing with Chubb and this is jmo is he wasn't the main guy in college he shared time so that makes me ask can he be the main guy for us? I know a lot of teams are using the 2 back system but I would prefer if we were going to have 2 backs they could do everything. That is why I like Penny, Ballage and Freeman so much, I really need to watch film on KJ and Jones.

I think the injurY took the specialness away from Chubb. He' a solid back but not special. Id rather have Sony.

Some of the specialness may have been taken away or maybe he's still getting it back....he ran faster than Michell at the combine and runs with more power as well. I know Sony burst on the scene and became the new flavor but don't forget Chubb is the second leading rusher in SEC history, that's saying a lot. If you watched him during his FR. and SO years you would think he's the next Gurley.....maybe his injury sapped him some but he's still very talented. If it came down to Guice in the first or Chubb 2 nd or. 3rd I'm taking Chubb.....I hope he stays under the radar.

Chubb is so frustrating. Is he getting it back? Or will he never be what he was? Which was the man btw. What makes it more perplexing is his combine performance. I was not expecting those kind of numbers. All of a sudden I had to take another look at him. Was his knee not at 100% this year? Is he an all pro waiting to happen or a decent back up could have been.
