Ramon's heir? I would not mind it. UTEP's Will Hernandez is behind Nelson but he is is a rock solid option.

As for Mr. Nelson here and, this is just my opinion, he is second only to Saquan Barkley in my opinion as the best players in the draft.

Does not matter where either end up. Both are day one impact players.

Tackles are more in demand in the first rd then guards but I think teams in general may be moving away from using first rd picks on lineman. Last year none were taken in the first rd. 2016 a few tackles were taken, none in the top 10 and no guard until pick 28.

Nelson could very well be there at 28 and if he is and there isnt an obvious defensive player available, Id be all for taking him.

Im a firm believer of winning in the trenches and this guy would give us a killer line.

We need a replacement for Hubbard. We need another Swiss army knife type for game days.

I personally do not think teams are moving away Blast. Last year's crop of offensive tackles really did not have a deep nor very talented pool to slot them. Even the drafts two best in Ryan Rymczyk and Cam Robinson were considered late day one to early day two selections.

This year is beyond loaded; arguably the best offensive lineman class in years. Even borderline first round talents like Will Hernandez will get pushed back.

Now, Quinton Nelson, Orlando Brown, Connor Williams, Billy Price, Mike McGlinckey, Kolton Miller and even Hernandez? All will be in dicussion in the first round; position being irrelevant.

One final caveat to this equation; the "New Era" in Trubrisky, Wentz, whomever Cleveland's new Quarterback is and DeShaun Watson need either road grading monster's to blindside warriors. This draft has those players in bunches and more.

Austin Corbett is the only major one I would consider. Outside of him an offensive tackle would seem to be a bigger need despite having Jerald Hawkins as Hubbard is set to test Free Agency.

Tyrell Crosby, Brandon Parker, or even Chukwuma Okorafor would be solid additions.

Isaiah Wynn of Georgia is good, he played tackle in college but will probably be a guard in the NFL.

they will need that 2nd or 3rd center capable guy if hubbard leaves. LG may be up in the air also. is it time for foster to finally be replaced? will it be finney? ramon did have off season surgery. the 3 named above have played all 3 positions in college. we will have to have at least one more guy capable of the center spot.

hawkins needs to improve at tackle or he may need replaced. feiler, i'm not sure is long term starter capable at guard or tackle and may not be left tackle capable either unless it is in an emergency situation. if finey does start over foster, we will need that game day interior player.
