Has any Steelers fan even remotely acted like how these Philly fans are acting with overturning cars and setting fires after a Super Bowl win?

Heres his response when I said they were acting like idiots

"Lol alright Bryan. First off, all fans act like animals when their team wins. Albeit some more extreme than others..second....the city is fine...and still standing. Think you just need to take a chill pill and let people be happy for the win."

But getting on the ground and eating horse manure is just wrong.

There was a lot of destruction.

Ehh. They beat the Patriots. They get a free pass as far as I'm concerned. What we should be doing is starting a gofundme page to drop these idiots off in Boston tonight. Now that would be fun.

You're right and your friend is wrong.

Don't know where the other people in this thread live but it's not normal behavior and shouldn't be rationalized.

The fans behaving like that are scum bags.

I know a lady who’s sister is building manager for the Mays Store that was looted.
She hadn’t talked to her sister yet due to the fact that she’s probably been busy all night.
    I’ll get some details later.

I agree. No need to destroy what others have in order to celebrate.

No excuse for any fan to act like that, if you want to tear $hit up, tear up your own $hit not other peoples property. Best way to hurt someone is through the wallet so I hope they sift through video footage and snag a few of these idiots.

Definitely no excuse to riot like they did.
Last year when the cubs were in the world series everyone was afraid the whole city of Chicago was going to burn. I honestly don't even remember hearing anything bad happening during the celebration following the last out.

Your friend is clueless; Pgh never riots like this: flipping cars over, starting fires, looting. No rationalizing that criminal behavior. Only Filthidelphia fans would argue that it's normal.

Sorry to burst everyone’s bubble but all of the same stuff has happened in PGH. I walked the streets of South Oakland after we beat the Seahawks in 2006. I personally witnessed an overturned car being danced on on Bigelow (poor schmuck got booted after he left his car in a spot with a hooded meter), as well as at least one fire in the middle of Forbes. Other things I witnessed were people climbing poles, broken windows, idiots being thrown into a paddy wagon, and Forbes being cleared by a line of police in riot gear (there were some on big ass horses too). My friend’s girlfriend was hit in the head by a flying garbage can. Luckily for her it was a plastic one. The point is, there are idiots everywhere, and we shouldn’t be too quick judge.

Apparently none of you were downtown Pittsburgh on January 12, 1975. I have vivid memories.

Ok, ok, at my age, no memory from 1975 is any longer “vivid”.

When you have been a loser so long, you cannot act classy. I`ll never understand breaking stuff when you are happy. Maybe winning the S.B for the first time is like when there is a city-wide power outage that lasts for days. Looting is widespread and the worst of human kind exploit the chaos expecting not to get arrested. What did Pittsburgh do January 1975? I hope not like Philly.
