I love the Steelers, Pens, and Pitt Panthers a whole bunch. I don't have any other teams I like or care about much. Those are really it for me and to some degree the 76ers but I am disinterested in the NBA.

Strongly disagree with all of this, first it was not the right call. Everyone keeps saying that but no way, JJ had his right hand under the ball. Show me CLEAR and UNDISPUTABLE evidence the ball hit the ground and JJ lost control......you can't cause JJ's hand was under it and never left it!!!!!!!!
Second enough about this game is squarely on Ben, did he screw up yeah but there is a long line that led to that. How about coaching, how about knowing Gronk is gonna beat you and do nothing about it? How about not being able to control the ball for 3 min with the lead? Ben was the final straw of how we lost this game, but at least I can say Ben was playing to WIN the game not lose the game.......

Gronk is a very good talent and a match up nightmare, however tell me again how he did the the first 3 1/2 quarters???? Steelers game planned him well until coaching decided to go back to the old ways........ZONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again not Ben's fault

there is no way you hang this on Ben!! He played near flawless football again. I personally like the attitude of shove it up their A$$, win when you can and take charge.

    YUP.. EXACTLY

Not to mention the fact that the ball crosses the plane of the goal line which is a TD. He has control of the ball as ball passes the goal line which was after making a football move. Clearly a TD. Even the NFL now realises they are dumb.

Go watch again. James has one hand on the left side of the ball and one on the right. The ball hits the ground his left hand comes off. The rule sucks, but it was the right call.

Did ben throw a pass to dhb in the middle of the field with no timeouts? Which is smarter throw it away and run a real play? Or complete a meaningless pass and then run a one receiver play? If ben hadn't thrown the ball into coverage would we have had an opportunity to tie the game?

Again, a loss yesterday means................we won our division and are going to the playoffs. Are you one of those that think the ONLY way to get to the SB is to have home field advantage? #1 seed could lose in the 2nd round. Maybe their best players get hurt? (Palmer) Maybe the QB gets sick? Anything CAN happen. I just don't happen to be one of those that automatically give the AFC to the Pats!

Sorry Strum, disagree completely with your rationale and that of the NFL playback HQ - at worst it was a slight fumble and recovery after the fact. He hit the ground untouched in bounds with full control of the ball prior to turning and reaching the ball across the goal line. Play over. TD! Any bobble, fumble, movement after that is immaterial. The main culprit here is the short increment of time that transpired during the sequence of events. But in this age of stop action - super slo-mo review, this should have verified the proper sequence of events with a legal TD occurring before any of the ball movement debate. While I can't verify NY SteelerFan's argument that JJ's hand was beneath the ball at all times, I don't think it's even relevant to the matter of when the TD officially occurred.

    There's a reason it's called homefield advantage.

Different rules for runners and receivers. It's bs, but it's the rule.

I suppose it's a matter of "not wanting to" agree with you vs just disagreeing. Guess we all now know how Raider fans still feel about the Immaculate Reception 45 years later.

Huh! Imagine that! There have been teams, in the recent past, who have won the SB as the 6th seed. Home field advantage ain't automatic!

I hate the rule and hate the fact the game has come down to high def super slow motion reviews. However, the play of our franchise qb on the next two plays pisses me off equally if not more. Just inexcusable for either of those two passes to have been made. in that situation anything short of the endzone is just wrong. That 2nd down pass put us in a bad position and forced us to gamble on bs. One freaking wr ran a route against 6 defenders. There was a better chance of it being intercepted than completed.

Now you're really grasping at straws. Did anyone say anything about automatic? Does the offense play significantly better at home?

I have and your right about his hands however his right hand never came off the ball and was under it the whole time. There was no clear evidence the ball ever hit the ground, which by the law of replay has to stay what is called on the field.

As for Ben wow you are full of hate, again if COACHING was doing their jobs with 3 min left and the lead none of what you are saying even has a chance of happening. Or if COACHING would not have played zone and knew Marsha was only gonna throw to one person.....GRONK, Ben wouldn't have needed to come back.

Did Ben make a bad decision hell yeah but to say this game is on him is wrong. The Ben hater in you is clouding your judgment!!!!!!!!

IDK that short pass to Juju seamed to work ok for maybe a few yards:shrug: yet don't hear anyone complaining about that and we were how far away with only 58 seconds........sometimes it works and sometimes it don't but what I do know is it will never work if you don't try!

Dude we ran zone coverage once on that final drive. It was the play where they blitzed Hilton(?). The rest like the majoirty of the game was man to man.

A couple of you really need to learn that criticism and hate are not the same thing.

How much time was left on the clock when ben threw a one yard pass to the middle of the field? How many timeouts did we have left? One way we can actually run a real freaking play. The other way leaves us with no timeouts, the clock running, and one backup wide receiver running a route.

Ok so one of the 26 yard gains was zone, they only ran 3 plays.......

The way you are coming off I am taking as hate not criticism, but fair enough now make sure you package that same criticism towards our coaching staff........

Your missing my point, 58 seconds and a long way to go 1 time out, we throw a 1 yard pass Juju worked wonders but if he didn't people would be complaining. It worked and put us in a good position which as we all know Ben did not come thru in.....sometimes it works sometimes it don't
