Interesting that Haley told Ben to go for it.

Why not send it into overtime??

    I will never know..

Thing is, even in losing, the Steelers showed a lot tonight, they can play with the Pats and probably should have won this game. I guess if there is some good news, it's beating the Pats twice in 1 season was going to be REALLY difficult and they're likely to see them again.

I liked the call not the results. Playing the Pats, if NE wins the coin toss, Brady likely leads them to a TD first drive game over anyway. Without looking it up, doesnt seem like the Steelers have faired too well in OT lately.

We'll never know but I like that they went for the jugular.

This is true as well good friend.

Within the same vein though, should the NFL Competition Commitee have Cornette and his crew for a possible rematch again, something is truly amiss.

Disagree. Loved the aggressiveness. You get the chance to kill Brady, you do it. Right call. Even the right throw was right. But it was in a tight window and there's no margin of error....like the DB yanking on your jersey holding you back and allowing you to get in position for the deflection. That throws everything off and the refs missed it. Not going to cry over a missed call or say the obligatory "just cover Gronk and it's out of the refs hands" because he's good and nearly impossible to stop. It just is what it is. Game is played and officiated by humans and they're not perfect. Steelers came out on the short end and the Pats skated...again. But when you're good, sometimes luck just follows you around.

Well if we have to go to Foxboro, season probably over. Have a nice retirement Ben. I doubt you're coming back next year.

A different officiating crew would not hurt either.

We should have win. We will win if we play again. The offense has been incredible and should continue. I’m legit super confident right now. Ben looks incredible.

BUT PLEASE DOUBLE TEAM GRONK NEXT TIME

I can only go by what I saw. We scored the winning TD. the officials took over the game. Then ignored the blatant PI on the final play to seal the win.

I cannot presume that we win or lose in OT when we never had the chance to see that happen. I was surprised the officials were letting them play most of the game.. then the 4th quarter came.

this was a great team this year, perhaps Tomlin's best - but I'm afraid that now we are all done.

I do not even want that crew within this universe! :lolol:

As I said eariler in the gameday post, Pete Blakeman and his self absorbed crew would actually make those calls no less.

There is no regrouping, nice try pat on the back, better luck next time, good loos- showed a lot.
The team looked forward to this game for weeks and the Defense showed nothing again.
    This was the big moment.
    This isn't a team that's a first time contender.

I don't believe in good losses.
    I'm mad as heck.

I wish it was over for the NFL, but controversy is good for ratings...that's why this **** happens every week

Starting TE out, best WR in the league out, our best CB out. There’s always hope

    1. Another team knocks them out
    2. Brady dies
    3. Bill dies
    4. World ends
    5. Haley gets a stroke from watching his wife with many men and dies happy
    6. Patriots forfeit the season
    7. Jesus comes down and joins pit
    8. Ben plays lights out on the road and our defense holds brady to under 23 points lol
