If you take away the drive for the ages with Ben hitting Holmes for the winning touchdown against the Cards, he has been mediocre to below average overall in Super Bowls. I've said it before, but give me Terry Bradshaw over Ben any day in the Super Bowl. When Brad needed to come up big on the biggest stage, he NEVER failed to deliver.

I think you're right. He was a corrections officer who moved to Florida.

Yeah, I have to refrain from posting too much. It became an addiction of sorts, I just come to read the banter now mostly. I'm here just sneaky..

The Steelers are a team that's built to win now, so I don't see them inserting a rookie QB as their starter. They should go after a free agent QB, if Alex Smith is a FA offer him a 2-3 year deal then draft your future QB.

9 dropped passes by GB receivers, 5 would have went for TDs. Once again there was more luck than actual play involved. I will always bring that up because the difference between that game and the Pats AFCCG was that the Pats didn't drop those passes. GB receivers are always touted as some of the best but they also have more drops than any other top rated receiving corps.

Not saying that Dobbs has IT, but he's hardly proven at this point. Landry has had enough chances to prove himself and established that he's not going to be an effective starter long term.

But didn't Green Bay have the same rumblings as Favre was on his way out? Rodgers wasn't proven. They could only hang their hats on the hope that he would be successful. Turned out pretty good for them. He had been in the system for a few years, however.

And even Brady wasn't highly touted before he supplanted Bledsoe.

There are some starting qb's out there who we just haven't seen shine.

Ifs and buts yes, but not delusional. A huge difference between a defense stopping a team versus a team stopping themselves. The defense didn't hold them to 24 points, GB held themselves.

On other hand.... the Mendy fumble that essentially sealed the game was caused by an unforced mental error on the offense. When Ben threw the pick 6, he had opportunities to get rid of the ball earlier and didn't take them.

This is why the idea of offenses stopping themselves is problematic. It basically serves a narrative that is overly critical of one team and not the 31 others.
