Broncos safety TJ Ward

I heard on the radio he might available for trade, it might be worth looking into with Mike Mitchell injuries and Golden sucking as a backup.

 

Unless Mitchell's current injury is much worse than they are letting on, I don't see the sense in acquiring him. He stands to make 4.5 mil this year and is an unrestricted free agent next year. That is a big price to pay for a back up.

If the Steelers want him, they would have to trade for him. If the Broncos just let him go, as PFT implies they might, he'll never make it to the Steelers in the waiver claim process.

He's 30, originally a second round pick. What's he worth?

 

I heard this earlier today and thought about posting but I don't see a big difference in play between him and Mitchell. I'd rather go after a guy with more range instead of the enforcer type.

If we had CB'S who could play I would say yes. Him and Mike together could really be a force if we could play a lot of man/zone from a nickle or dime .Those 2 could take middle zone and play man on the outside .

They would also be good on inverted looks against Teams wanting to run outside or throw WR screens . Again we would need CB'S who could play better .

Mike is already a bad fit because our CB'S need so much help in coverage. This effects this entire Defense as we have to commit DL ,LB'S, and Safeties to try and help our CB'S .

If we had some man capable guys we could see if this D really has talent.

 

This, we need this type of player badly. It may be a long season for our secondary if our front seven
can't get a consistent pass rush.

 

Too much. He's a great player, but it will take a ransom to get him imo. Plus then do we move Davis to FS? There really isn't a fit there. I just don't see it happening..... Haden on the other hand I think we actually have a shot at.

As I stated earlier in this thread, Ward would be a good pick up if we had better CB play.Since that statement we have upgraded the CB spot , so bring him in and see whats up.

I know the player but not too familiar with his skills...FS or SS if the latter don't see the point still have a need for a center fielder bad....
