I'm seeing Awuzie ranked as a top 40 prospect on a few sites. My guess is that the personality and intelligence that you and I saw on NFLN last night impressed more than a few teams when they interviewed him. From the few games that I've watched, I see him as a chess piece in the secondary. More a jack of all trades than master of one. You can use him outside in press man or zone, in the slot or even as a big nickel against a TE because of his physicality. Overall a really good player IMO.

    Very versatile.

There is really not much he cannot do from a coverage and position standpoint on the back end. Very good athlete and very good player; a great value pick for anyone in the top half of the second or.

i was a big awuzie fan early on when most had him as a 3rd rounder, then as always he moved up out of our range in the first i thought and still think. he will go in the first before 30.

I read that he played all 4 positions in the secondary for Colorado, if he slid to the third round that's good value.

Yes he will, he's not rated in the top 5 CBs.

He is scheduled to attend the Draft in Philly, so he must be viewed as a 1st rounder by the NFL.

Geno Smith also attended the draft the year he came out, he didn't go until the second round .

He'll be a top 64 draft pick. I predict somewhere between pick 20 and pick 50..

He can go anywhere from late 1st to early second as I see it.

Now, should the Steelers draft him? Depends on who is there. If he, Kevin King (unlikely but I have some faith) and Obi Melifonwu are there, that would be interesting for sure.

Would not surprise me in the least if he is the guy.

I doubt it very highly unless he makes a last minute visit. I see no indication that we've met with him at any time, and we almost always draft guys in the 1st who visited the team, and I don't recall a recent 1st round pick that we didn't meet with at all.

He wont be a day 1 starter needs a lot of work, small hands:

    Biggest concern:

    • Long speed is an issue? Struggled with recovery speed on several long receptions this past season.
    • Not a playmaker. While he improved at forcing pass breakups in 2016, he has recorded just three interceptions over the past three seasons.
    • Needs to improve his technique as a tackler. Far too often he goes in high and looking for a big hit. Missed 33 tackles over the past three years and will likely miss even more against bigger, stronger NFL receivers.
    • Inconsistent against the run over the past three seasons. Impressed in 2015 but struggled in 2014 and 2016. PFF Scouting report:

I would be disappointed if we are looking at Aduzie at #30. Lot of better CBs will be available even if we want to reach a bit at corner in the 1st.

The Steelers draft at least 3 players that came in for visits. 1st rders are on a higher % but I don't remember them bringing in Burns or Dupree the last couple years.

If KC run's to the podium to take Chidobi, I hope Goodell trips him and then rolls him off the stage.

Tomlin had dinner with Burns the night before his pro day, and both Tomlin and Colbert had dinner with Dupree the night before his pro day, so they may have gotten enough info without bringing them into the team facility. From what I've read, only Bruener was at the Colorado pro day this year. I can't find any indication that the Steelers have met with Awuzie at all.

I think the only 1st rounder they have drafted of late that they didn't meet with was Jarvis.

    Look how that turned out.

Yep, after a read my post I wanted to edit it but had to go.

Even though they didn't have them in fr a "visit" they did meet with them. Dupree at the combine and pro day where they also had dinner.

I guess my point was not all who are drafted , including 1st rd, are invited to the facility for an official visit but they definitely meet and talk at some point .
