I guess I'm mis understood. I'm not saying your a punk by wearing your hat backwards. But, I can't be they only one that noticed, that after Bens 2nd accusucation and his resulting 4 game ban. That he started wearing his hat forward on the sidelines. Ben matured a lot since 2010. More likable. But there are many in the league who don't respect him or may never.

Burfict is actually pretty normal off the field. I don't think he will ever pull the crap that some expect by his on field antics.

Who knows, the writer could be a Steeler fan tryin to light a fire under Ben.

You ever see Brady when he gets ticked off, he focuses like a lazer and makes some spectacular throws.

I'd like to see Ben play with some fire this game, maybe even surprise the crap out of them and take off with the ball a few times.

This writer of the article probably lit a fire under Ben that won't subside until around Draft Day or mini-camp, maybe even training camp. You know Ben is smokin hot about it, got to be.

How ridiculous that this author painted Findley as a racist town. That section alone showed me where this guy is coming from and what he is about. He apparently made very little effort to talk to people in Ben's current circle. (Maybe they wisely declined). This is agenda driven drivel. I had four young teenagers, including one daughter at that time of second accusation. We talked about it a lot. I wanted them to make an informed decision about whether to continue to support Ben. I used it as a teaching moment about life decisions and how to treat people. However, I also read every thing I could get my hands on about the incident, including the police transcripts. I watched the video of the questioning. It is not hard to see why no charges were filed. Do I think Ben used his status for cheap and irresponsible sex?...yes. Do I think he raped anyone or forced himself on anyone?...nope. Both accusations seem like a classic case of, "regret is not rape." This practice is much more common than people think. Even in HS and college. Ask the male athletes in this chat room... I had more than one "drunk" girl make themselves available during my HS and College years. Thanks to my parents and my faith, I walked away. But we know it happens. And sadly, it's these women who make it difficult for the women who have been truly wronged to come forward or find justice.

A college roommate of mine had this happen to him. The girl he met at a party picked him up and all was ok until her boyfriend found out that she cheated and all of a sudden it was a case of date rape. Luckily when the police got involved she admitted it was all a lie.

I don't have kids, but I also dug deep into the available info on both of the accusations against Ben just be sure that I could remain a fan of his. I agree 100% with the conclusions that you have drawn.

Best perspective I've read! I'm no expert...but living in Ga and knowing a very reliable friend of a friend . It was definitely a girl who was enamored by his celebrity and rumors of being set up by her bf....but that's neither here not there. But being a woman, who's gone to college, who knew acquaintances who strictly went after athletes...I truly believe it was what you stated.

Young and dumb...athletes, actors etc need to realize that some women want you or they'll try to ruin you. JMO Girls are crazy...

Agreed - what in the hec does a backwards ball cap have to do with anything ? I'm relatively old and I still wear my Steelers cap backwards. To say someone is punkish because they wear their hat backwards is absolutely baseless.
