I think we may have sealed his fate today. He's not a bad coach, bit I doubt he survives this year.

Look what he's survived so far. He probably does deserve to be fired, but failure is nothing new to the Bungles and yet they've stuck with Marvin

He signed an extension before the season. Mike Brown is too cheap to fire him and hire some one new. They should have promoted Mediocre Marvin to GM and hired Mike Zimmer to be HC. Marvin had his team ready to play today but then they had to mess with the Terrible Towel and then the melt down started as only the Bungles can do.

I think he should be fired, but he probably won't be. I would be very surprised if he is.

He could go to L.A., Jacksonville, maybe S.F. if they (deservedly) fire Chip. Maybe Buffalo! The future looks bright for a slightly above average coach!

He should be fired but I hope they don't. He's part of the reason they are inept.

On the other hand, could always hope for someone worse. How great would it be to see them as consistent basement dwellers like the Browns.

I like Marvin...he can't control his team, they incur stupid penalties and the Steelers win....I'm cool with that.

I registered today to congratulate the Steelers for being so professional and level headed.
They are starting to remind me of old Patriots teams. Just business. Bell and the O line ( which we don't have) were great.
We could get there but Marvin and Dalton must go. A real coach could handle 55. Good luck in playoffs !

I gotta root for the home team. (Except for college football). But I'm a football fan and I like teams that act like they've been there before. I'll be watchin Steelers the rest of the season.

They said today that he didn't even address Burfict's behavior towards us. That lets you know right there how dumb he is and how it just trickles down to his team. People can say that Tomlin doesn't do much about discipline but we know that he has told AB to chill and benched Mendy and even suspended him. Tomlin is Sgt. Carter compared to Marvin Lewis.

Gus Bradley lost his job today. Rex is gonna lose his too. Hopefully Chip does because he's a one trick pony gimmicky moron. Take your scheme back to the league full of future real estate and insurance salesmen because it's clearly not fooling the big boys. Also I say Mike McCoy is gone and Cleveland will probably also fire Hue Jackson just because it's the Cleveland thing to do.

They must like him because year after year he dresses an undisciplined team. I was worried initially because the bungles seem to be able to run the ball at will and Dalton was making decent throws to his receivers.. Then the second half starts and the bungles show their true undisciplined chippy penalty causing selves.. It's actually funny to watch them implode. They literally cannot help themselves. Lewis should be gone for that reason alone

Mike Brown seems to just love Marvin Lewis for some reason. I bet he will be back.
I hear Mike Brown isn't the easiest guy to get a long with, from things I hear and read.

Lewis got a 1 year extension, which tells him the owners patience is weak in his ability to ever get this team to a superbowl, with just a 1 year extension owner ship wont be on the hook for a big payout when they fire him, 1 years pay is just little more than a severance: I predict he wont be coaching there next year....

Lewis is guaranteed 3.4 million dollars in 2017 and Mike Brown won't be willing to pony a dime of it over to him if he is sitting at home collecting it without doing anything. At 5-8-1 so far this season he will come up with the injury bug excuse in order to keep him on as coach and justify it by saying the players like him and he has a record of making the playoffs consistently. He won't even care that the couldn't advance. I don't see them making any changes until 2018 and that might be a stretch depending on how 2017 winds up.

What they should do with Marvin though is promote him to GM and hire Jeff Fisher to a 3 year deal. With the amount of talent they have Fisher would be a good fit. But, as a Steeler fan I just hope they keep "chopping wood", as Lewis likes to put it, with the same path of an undisciplined team.

Word in Jacksonville is to possibly target Haley or the Patriots OC.
