I was relating a story to my wife about DeAngelo Williams, who seems to be a really class guy. We then reminisced about some of the guys on Cowher's team - Bettis, Ward, Polamalu, Miller, Smith, Da Beard, etc. On offense and defense there were a bunch of guys that were a lot fun to watch, you were really pulling for, and seemed to be good guys. Good times.

Now we have Brown, who seems to be a diva, Bell, who has a pot problem, and not sure who on defense. Hopefully the years to come will develop these and other folks into guys we are proud to root for.

Thankful for the good old days, and the days to come.

    Happy Thanksgiving, Steeler Nation!

Always good to reminisce. Don't forget the likes of Bam Morris, or even the Cowher-era Ben, to balance the comparison though!

Always had a soft spot for Yancey Thigpen, just a great name to hear on Sundays or watching power football with Barry Foster.

    Lest we forget...

Does he still hold the record for the longest TD reception?

I don't know. I remember he was a big star in high school in the town right next to where I live. I was pretty happy when he left Pittsburgh.

Mike Wallace broke Malone's record. He now also holds the Ravens franchise record too (which was done against us).

The count from the French Riviera as he was also known.:) LOL Oh I miss those teams.
As a kid growing up in this era to have the baddest ass team on the planet, and they could
    back it up.
