Not sure where the blame lies, but I see big changes coming.

How about Fitzgerald Toussaint? Seems like he know how to defend pass pretty well. Good instincts that guy.

We have early round picks, young, in Heyward, Tuitt, and Shazier.

Our run defense should NOT be so crappy.

you can blame tomlin for the 2 point calls, you can blame haley for some dumb 3 rd down play calling, but for me this game is all about the fact that in our quest for speed on defense we cant hold up. shazier got pancaked more today than anyone at ihop.

this defense is just terrible. I was for butler coming in but the whole defensive staff has had time to turn it around and have failed.

I agree Shazier can shoot gaps, but he can't hold up wading through the trash.

Unless they put a stout guy in front of him that commands double teams it will always be a problem.

Jarvis was blocked by a TE on that last Zeke TD.

I think Lebeau has a better front in a Tennessee then we have here. We have the worst group of OLB probably on any roster and our dlinmen are just not physical enough. We must remember that Tuition and Hayward are DEs and just started penetrating. They are not the big body type we need at the DT position.

Plus, they needed to give Butler his chance.

I got to wonder if we really are gonna make the transition to 4-3? We have a lot of holes for a 3-4 scheme.

Agree. He isn't a thumper. Shazier was on the ground for Elliott's TD runs and he came through his gap.

Where has Hargrave been this year? Haven't seen him do anything for a while.

Hargraves is a rookie from a minor league school. Can't expect much from him at least not this year.

I beg to differ, I think the person who was out of position on that last run was Timmons. He blitzed it appeared and he took himself right out of the play and Elliott walked right down where Timmons should have been. Now I am not blaming Timmons for the loss, but he has greatly under performed all year in my opinion. The real issue is with the scheme, Butler's defense lacks discipline and toughness. This blame can also be applied to Tomlin. I am not calling for anyone's head, but the fact is if we dont go for 2 pts after every TD, perhaps say we did that after the first 1 or even 2 TD's we are up by 3 or more points with :42 seconds left in the game and we should have played a much different style of defense, but hey what do I know???

Watching the last td run did anyone notice that while looking at the tv the ball was on the left hash mark. Our defense all went that way to the left....why??? I was thinking that the Cowpies were just gonna have Dak run to the middle of the field and take a knee to set up the fg. With that said our D should have been moving to the right towards the middle of the field. Was this scheme, was this the oline taking us out and being much better then our front 7? Like to know if anyone else saw this and what anyone's thoughts are.....

When you have a running back run almost up the middle untouched you have more then one person out of position. When you see the play again, see what happens to JJ, Shazier, Mtichell, Golden and Davis, all out of position or taking bad angles. Timmons might also been out of position, didn't see him, agreed on his under performing.

Timmons run blitzed the middle and was in the hole which caused Elliott to cut back to the left where Shazier and Hargrave collapsed and Jones was sealed by TE. The angles taken by the secondary have not been good but they were playing the outside.

    Check out :37.

They still would've lost if they kicked the 4 extra points, the score would probably have been 35-34.

All that hype he got in the preseason we kept hearing about his quick first step, it would be nice if he made a play sometime.

Mitchell should be benched, give Davis and Dangerfield more playing time.
