Two different things. You're talking about changes that will be seen every week and most feel the unis are perfect the way they are with the exception of not having block numbers.

The bumble bees are seen once a year, its just a nice change of pace and a flash to the past. Its apples to oranges.

I'm in the minority here... but I like the new rounded numbers better than the old block numbers. The blocks would be nice for a couple of games a year for nostalgia and to give tribute to the great Steelers teams of 70's-90's. It seems like every team had block numbers before the 90's.

I've seen some awesome modern proposals and artwork for new helmets. Black pants with gold stripe would be kickass, too... with the white road jerseys.

I figured you'd love them considering they originally wore these when you were a kid?

While that is all true, good or bad, it's still part of the history of the Rooney organization. I know all about the Pirates era, and know what you mean, but it's still party of the city's history. Personally, I take the good with the bad, and I appreciate the nod to the early history. But I can see why some would disagree.

If they ever messed with the helmet people would riot in the streets.

Ha! I've seen a flat black modern-artwork helmet with the hypocycloids that looks totally badass. This one...

    i get ya
    but

    i would rather the hypocloids
bedazzle down the side of the pant leg where people want the yellow stripe on black pants

    keep the black pants
    and bedazzle down the leg

it is the BLACK HELMET AND HYPOCLOIDS that attracts the initial impressions of many fans

    soooo
    i say

    promote them on the pants

    imagine

AB TWERKING in that there get up

    beauty

Back to M. Jackson BTF. No matter what happened or was going on. MJ could sing and dance his butt off. Can't take that from him.

    Agree... Prince > Michael Jackson.

Hell... Prince is better than 99.99999999% of all musicians/composers who ever lived. Maybe Beethoven, Bach, Mozart and Miles Davis were better... but I can't think of any others.

    R.I.P. Bumblebees!

I hated those ugly things at first but learned to like them. I know we had a positive W-L record but not sure exactly what it was.

The team really seemed to play some good football while wearing those throw backs.

Someone play Taps or Amazing Grace lol. Maybe Danny Boy since the Rooneys are Irish.
