I always take our giving up a lot of passing yards with a grain of salt though because we just give up so much underneath stuff and then tighten up pretty good in the red zone.

What's he going to tell people if the Cubs choke again?

He was telling his uncle today that "it's a shame" if the Cubs don't win because he knows they say that during Take Me Out To The Ballgame. Sometimes he will say when I'm tucking him in "Daddy if they don't win it's a shame". LOL!

I was so worried about tonight's game all day today. I wanted this game badly once the Ravens lost. I think I was as nervous watching their game as I was in waiting for ours to begin.

So happy it all worked out.

This is true, but other teams don't do this. Most defenses in the NFL don't give up the passing yards like we do. There are good defenses in the league that would never allow 300 yards passing to the chiefs. That's a problem IMO. Our defense could have used the confidence boost. We should have stayed aggressive and tried to pitch a shut out. I don't agree with the prevent. We gotta stop giving up big passing stats. We have to be worst in the league when it comes to YAC. Good QB's put on passing clinics when they face us. It has to stop if we are going to win playoff games.

Yeah it really is. I've been explaining to him that it's never ok to be alright with losing because he's starting to play sports now. I told him I've been mad at the Steelers for losing and not playing good and so yesterday his flag football team lost in their "NFC Championship" game and this morning when we were leaving he said "Daddy, I'm mad at the Eagles!" and I said "Why" and he said "Because they lost yesterday" and I realized then that he was talking about his football team and said "Well Ben when they lose you lose and that means you have to be mad at yourself. So are you?" and he said something like "No but I'm just mad at the Eagles". LOL!

Deion always calls the best player for each team every week. He's talking to Cam tonight. I guess Ben is tough to nail down. Deion never calls us white boys. LOL! I think Mike Zimmer is the only old white guy he has talked to this year. Those young players really idolize Deion though because they light up like a Christmas tree just to get to talk to him. Also did anyone see AB's picture with Mini-Me? It was hilarious. It said "Feel The Verne". HA!

BJ Finney and it is not even close.

I expect the superstars to play the way they did (sans one).

While I knew Finney would be solid in relief of Foster... I did not expect a stout performance. Looked like an All Pro out there at times manhandling the likes of Alan Bailey, Dontari Poe and Chris Jones; a player I thought would be Finney's biggest challenge.

Seriously? Do you really think our defense looked at the stat sheet post-game and said "crap! I thought we played well, then I saw that we gave up 300 yards passing!" Last night was NOT a clinic by Alex Smith. Everything that KC did was in garbage time after the game was decided. When it counted, we played very solid pass defense.

I don't think there is a wrong answer, Finney...Williams,....Bell.....James....Dangerfield.....but I give it to Big Ben. Let's face it we saw last week what happens when he is off.

Last week the o-line was bad, there were 5 or 6 dropped passes, and with the bad o-line play there was no running game. That combined with the fact the incredible secondary couldn't stop screen passes from going for big gains and couldn't get a stop in the second half and what you get is what you saw, it wasn't just the QB being off. While I liked the win last night I saw a different game, the defense had some good moments but be real, dropped passes and mistakes is what ruled the day. Think about it, the first two throws from Smith were a 17 and 15 yard gain and 3rd and longs seemed to be completed easily, how is this going to look when we play a team that can actually throw, New England is going to throw for 500 yards against the new and improved defense. The best hope this team has is to continue to put points up on the board fast, sorry for being negative but aside from better play it is easy to see that our secondary is as bad as the Saints if not worse.

Bell. Walked in and took no prisoners.

Honorable mention: Jorden Dangerfield. A practice squad player stepping into the starter spotlight and fit in nice.

Of course the usual suspects had a great game... Ben, Bell and Brown. Also Tuitt and Heyward played lights out. Much to the dismay of many here... Jarvis Jones was a disruptive force. No sacks, but had some good tackles and INT.

    Gameball goes to: Jordan Dangerfield

I'm going to go with Ben, but I tip my hat to Cam. He had some great defensive plays early on that lit things up and I think set the tone for the game, namely the sack and the tipped ball to Jarvis.

I would have to give the game ball to the coaching staff tonight. Most of these guys did what I have believed they can do all along. Coaches got it out of them tonight. Too bad we lost though huh. Wait, what? We won...reading the message board last week I thought we had already lost the game and didn't watch it. Well, Sh**!
