By far, the WORST Steelers game I've ever watched.

Since 97 I think they said.

The Eagles are good. Not sure what's worse losing to the worst teams in the NFL (which we seem to do every year). Or just getting destroyed like this? It's embarrassing.

I watched the 1989 Steelers lose at home 51-0 to the Browns followed by losing 41-10 to the Bengals so I guess I have seen as bad. It has been a long time since I have seen a team as inept as today though.

Yeah, the Eagles were on fire in terms of execution and motivation. Let's not take that away from them. Like I said in the game thread, Wentz is the real deal.

We were just utterly lacklustre from start to finish.

The TD they scored when Gay was a second too late to adjust to a route summed up the entire game for me. Everyone was a second too late, a second too slow, throwing a foot too wide.

AB returning punts, Williams in the back field, Ben behind center, Score 34-3, Time on clock 0.29 seconds, 4th quarter. What gives Mike? I hope the Rooneys have a serious discussion about this mega millions possible injury concern. Tomlin should be tongue lashed about this for quite a while.

Serious question, it is often talked about and debated whether they have a game plan or do any game planning, the whole we do not concern ourselves with what other teams do line if you will. Is this arrogance then to not game plan for the team you are playing that week? To just install a game plan based on what you want to do and the other team can try to stop you? To not attack a weakness and exploit that weakness ot your advantage? To just do what you do every week? Is it arrogance or just that they feel that it is a strategy that works well for them?

A rookie QB schooling your defense.

This loss sucks badly, but it is funny the resemblance. A rookie QBcoming in knocking off an NFL power... Reminds me of Ben's first year when he ruined the iggles and Brady's stint that season. True it was later in the season, but this kid reminds me of Ben just in the plain fact that the game is not too big for him coming out of the gate. It's fun watching that as a football fan.

On our side of the fence, that was bad. We knew our D is a work in progress so it is what it is. Early injuries didn't help on that side of the ball either. We're down a few weapons on O as well, so it's only a matter of time before this high powered O eats crap.

All in all, we've seen it all before. Gutless efforts, injury bugs, unprepared or unmotivated play regardless of the coach or talent it's a staple here... Kinda like a 3rd and long TE up the seem we can never cover.

I think we have a good chance at being in the mix this year, just like every year. Look good, look terrible, lay down, be heroic, etc... Rinse off and repeat good old steelers. Them trophies tend to come in here and there with the same old same repetitive questioning.

Bounce back and get it done!

Not sure if it's been said, but at least AB got a lot of passes thrown his way. Ultimately that's what really matters.

Bubby Brister was the QB then. Merrill Hoge was playing. That was a LONG time ago and today was the worst loss since then.

    Noll was still coaching.

That play where he slipped the pressure and hit the guy down the sideline for the TD was vintage Ben.

Its still early, but I think Went is the next QB sensation in this league.
