Have to throw that out there. Obviously, the ball came out after Boyds knee was down. These refs really influenced this game IMO. The Bungles should have retained possession.

Happy for the W, but I would feel better about the win had it been 100% legit instead of 95% or so.

Not saying they would have scored and got a 2 point conversion to tie it but they should have had that opportunity.

Could a possible point spread which was 3 or Over/Under which was 48 have influenced this game. We may never know but I wouldn't put it past Vega$ or the NFL.

I still say the Steelers out played the Bengals but the NFL will more than likely send the Benglas the useless apology letter.

We are familiar with those as well.

    Go Steelers!

I think the refs would agree that it wasn't a fumble but they had to go with the "ruling on the field" because you couldn't clearly see the ball on the replay. It's basically like "lawyer speak".

    3 H2H missed calls.

    Multiple holds overlooked.

    Blatant facemask no call.

2 DPI (one very obvious and blatant. The other the EXACT same thing Artie Burns was called for) - not called. Both right in front of the ref.

Cincy has nothing to complain about. Everyone here said it wasn't a fumble. Every. One. The only thing I can figure is that they didn't see "conclusive" evidence to overturn. Looked pretty conclusive to me. Still, no. It didn't influence the game. If they called what should have been called, this game is a blow out.

The refs always favor us. The NFL wants the Steelers to win. Just go read the Bengals or Ravens message boards.

Every bugles fan in America will tell you the same thing. I guess if I was a fan of a team that hadn't won a playoff game in 26 years much less a single Super Bowl I'd probably try to come up with a way to cope as well. LOL! I feel no sympathy for them whatsoever. They are getting exactly what they deserve for that disgraceful display in the playoffs last year and for signing every felon they possibly can over the years.

You wouldn't stoop so low, BFT. After all you're a cubbies fan and I never hear you saying the umps are to blame for their lack of championships.

I agree that it was not a fumble and they should have got the ball back. IMO the refs were scared to make a call today against both teams. I think there were several that should have been called for both of us from holds to facemask to late hit.

Cubbie fans don't blame it on the umps. They blame it on a goat.

I feel vey fortune to win this game. watch he play late when cincy was held to a fg. that pass to the te that golden pushed out, his knee got down in bounds I think.

It certainly looks like he was down to me. But as Ray D said, the refs probably couldn't determine if the ball was already "moving" because it was completely hidden.

A TD also got nullified because the refs didn't see that the knee was in. Why the Bengals didn't challenge this is a mystery.

Those were two HUGE blown calls that went in the Steelers' favor. But I also agree that Cincy got away with some things, too: the face mask on DeAngelo, a shot to Ben's face, the obvious PI on AB that wasn't called that gave the ball back to Cincy for that final drive.

I'm in the minority on the Heyward-Bey helmet hit; that was 100% accidental, because Bey was coming down and the Bengals' defender got under him. There was no intent there.

    I agree
they should have been going for a touchdown for the win at the end
and they should have got the ball back on that non fumble
I really don't understand why they didn't ask for a replay on the missed touchdown call

    Bartman, Is that you?

Cubs may win this season and then you can go back to Chicago.

I didn't think it was a fumble either. But they still had to come up with 8 points. A call went our way, had it been called down on the field. It would have been upheld that way.

You know what- we've been screwed by bad calls more times than I can remember in the past 44 years I've been watching. And you also know what- we will get screwed again, too.

So, I'll take it. Even if they don't call it a fumble, extrapolating this out to a Bengals win takes something.

And speaking of which- these are the things that will always happen to a sorry ass, sad sack, bad karma team like the Bengals.

The bungles are so classless that my buddy, who is a lifelong Cowboys fan and Steeler hater, said that after the playoff game last year he would NEVER root for them again. He couldn't believe how terrible they are as human beings. I told him it was something we've all known for years.

Yeah, they don't get that ball back in that field position to make a drive without the no call on Brown. Clearly turned by a hook right in front of the ref....

Both teams got away with a lot of stuff today. The 'tight ship' wasn't so tight.

Don't forget the pass interference call on Cockrell near the goal line when defending Green. Real tacky call and should of been a no call. The refs were as bad as could be today, for both sides.

Yes it was not a fumble, but as was already stated there were plenty of other calls that were missed that could have gone our way so I don't feel any worse for the win. Now on the TD I could be wrong, but wasn't his 1st touch of the ground out of bounds? Again either way I don't feel sorry in the least there were way to many calls that were missed that went in their favor.

For the record, when you hear bungles fans talking about how "the refs just wanted the Steelers to win" just enlighten them to the fact that we actually accumulated more penalty yards than Cincy did today. We were each flagged 5 times but we went 5-54 and they went 5-31. Just sayin'.
