Why would you take your last TO trying to ice the kicker on a 47 yard kick when you only have a minute left to do something?

Because "In a New York Minute" (Don Hendley's version) anything is possible.....except for today of course. I just hope that's not us having to make that same decision 28 hours from now. Do you think the Steelers are already looking past the Skins to next week's opponent visualizing Carrot Top horizontal most of the game? Orange and green go well together when smeared thoroughly with brute pressure. (or blunt force trauma)

I wouldn't do it.

If it was down to less than half a minute maybe, because then you really need something to happen to get into FG range yourself after the kick. So, you might as well "hope" a TO makes a veteran kicker nervous.

As it stood a decent run-back and a couple throws with a TO to get your FG unit out to win it, makes a better winning strategy.

 

"Icing" rarely works but, it did Thurs. night!
