Steelers Trim Roster To 79

They will bring him back. He will get sacked once. He will turn to dust. LOL!

 

Dang!!!!! I was going to do a roster cutdown prediction but been busy..........

Not surprised about Zumwalt..... I was going to keep LB Reilly another week. Keeping LB Rasco Jermauria surprised me too....

After seeing Vaughan in training camp I was hoping he would make the cut. He got cut alright. An unfortunate thumb injury. Now were stuck with scrub Jones and glass Grad. Hoping we don't have to see either unless it's clean up time.

 

He'll soon go back to his real passion...

 

I think this made him expendable, he's a china doll:

Jordan Zumwalt - Spent the last two years on IR after being selected in the 6th round of the 2014 Draft out of UCLA.

 

Mike Reilly - The Steelers' outside linebacker spot proved too deep for Reilly, who did get to spend some time talking William & Mary football with head Mike Tomlin.

True, but I've seen a few sites predicting he'll make it. He could do with a sack or another int against Carolina

 

Yeah I'd say it'll be between him and Fort. I like them both for depth.

i sure hope it's not between he and fort. i've thought johnson was the odd man out so far.

 

I've not heard much about Johnson so far... is that just me not noticing, or has he been relatively invisible?

 

pretty much except for that gift interception last week. i actually like him too but not near as much as fort and red.

 

Johnson has played well enough to make the 53 especially being Colbert offseason UFA signing.

Dirty Red could force them to carry 11 LB, and for note it won't be the first time they've done that.

Maybe with our recent injury history we should just keep it at 79 and by week 4 of the regular season we will have it trimmed to 53.

 

We are making more cuts...right? I mean we only moved the roster to 79.

I do have a question though... Do Bryant, Bell, and Green currently count toward that number?

 

Green was put on the PUP to start the season, so he's out at least the first 6 games.
