It's one thing for the leauge to punish a guy. I still believe his team reserves the right to punish him as well. The team is much morr personal and I feel like he couldn't care less what the "league" thinks but when you become a pariah to your team that is a different story. That's who he has to deal with on an everyday basis. I just wish Tomlin would have a few extra laps per day for him. Or some super extensive film sessions. Or an extremely early curfew. Just things to make him generally uncomfortable. As for taking it "personal" you can bet your bottom dollar I do. I loved the Steelers long before this moron knew jack about them and I will love them long after. I feel like what he does to that uniform he does to me. If you're not emotionally invested in the team you're not actually a fan. That's sorta the whole point. So when he makes the black and gold look bad there is a sense in which I feel like he makes me look bad. Because I so strongly identify with those colors. Much more than Bell ever will. It's just a "job" to him. It's a lifelong passion for me. That's the difference between fans and players.

I don't agree with punishing Bell twice and I'm emotionally vested in the team, I'm sure Shaner is too, what you are talking about is how fanatical a person is, you may be short in stature but you are a big fanatic! The bigger the fanatic, I think the more illogical they become.

They did it with Bryant last season by having him sit the next game after his suspension. I have no problem with the Steelers doling out some team punishment on Bell if they choose to do so.

I saw something from Mike Freeman saying that there's video of Bell saying that he hasn't smoked weed since December and that the NFL could go after him for it.

In the video, he said he hadn't smoked weed since December of 2014.

How? Can they prove he smoked in December 2014? There's literally no way they could get evidence of that. I'm assuming they would still need evidence of him smoking to do anything to him.

    How?
    He admitted to it.
Remember we're dealing with the NFL here not your typical court of law.
I seriously doubt anything comes of it though.

He admitted to it, but maybe he meant 2013 and it's been so long that he got his years mixed up. Believable? Who cares, it's a valid excuse. I would think the NFL needs more than someone "mistakenly" saying they did something 2 years ago.
But then you brought up a good point, it's the NFL, they do whatever they want and get away with it.
Your last point is also bang on, it's likely nothing comes from this.

I don't see the problem. To me, the "admission" is a non-issue.

I agree, but like the message be ready for game 4 and game 5 because you are toting the rock a bunch ...As a coach I really don't care if he sees that as a positive or a negative..The only thing I care is be in shape,be focused, know the schemes the D'S like to play, and come ready to ball ....

Basically I give you the chance to shut up the haters and add to your value or you can come out slow and not ready for a heavy work load and add some more haters....You like to rap..So wat u gonna Do ???

But "when" is he actually "admitting" to? I'm curious about the timeline of this whole thing. Is he getting suspended for a test he missed a year and half ago or is he getting suspended for smoking pot like a few months ago? I'm not sure on the actual details of it all.

He is suspended as a result of missing tests. His admission has nothing to do with it

I know he's not getting suspended for admitting it but I was just curious if he was admitting to smoking it other than the times he missed the test or if he was saying the only time he had smoked it since he last got in trouble was just this one time. I honestly figure he smokes it a lot and I also honestly don't see him stopping anytime soon. He just doesn't strike me as a bastion of common sense or self control. I hope he proves me wrong but as of now I feel he has proven me right.

That's not an admission... I could say I'm high right now, and you would test me and I would pass the test. Meaning I either lied or misspoke. I get that the NFL has over stepped its bounds on multiple occasions, but I have a hard time believing that they can make any type of a case about this

I remember reading somewhere that he actually did admit that he lied all along. He then did a presser and said he just "wanted to talk about football" and blah, blah, blah. If the moron really wanted to just talk about football in a presser then I would suggest that he stops acting like an idiot and then people wouldn't have to ask him about things other than football. It's really simple but maybe he's like Rain Man and can only understand really complicated things and simple things like red lights are just too much for him.

You want to send him a message then when he needs to pay the Steelers what he would have earned for each game he missed.

Ramon Foster is telling players to save up for a possible 2021 lockout over the NFL drug testing policies.

    http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...lers-player-rep-nfl-players-save-2021-lockout

It also states that Bell would have had to miss 3 tests in order to be suspended 4 games (reduced to 3).

How many companies out there would give that many opportunities? In my business, you miss one test and you are out the door.

He's been smoking since the DUI book it! He missed multiple tests you can book it! And unless he's seriously scared about his future he'll continue to do it... Book that too!

Seen/continue to see/have buried and will continue to see the act of lying, playing stupid, making excuses and ruining their career/lives. Because, entitlement, addiction, stupidity supersedes all. Majority believe there is always a tomorrow. Those that have a bit of common sense know different and as we've witnessed that it shows constantly after apologies and tears etc...

Sorry, too emotionally tied to this sort of reckless stupidity to see it any other way. Hope the kid turns it around... Deacon Turner (bengals running back from the 70s) was killed in my town because he was a dummy while being smart if that makes sense... Full of knowledge and excuses and promises and I really like him aside from being a bungle. Sad ****... Too much else is personal and family oriented. Lost businesses, homes, families etc... Oddly enough over Mary Jane that turned in to the other various bull****.

Interesting Ramon states this considering that he is on his last legs and Article 46 will reach its expiration date by 2020; a year that will determine if the NFLPA has learned it's lesson. If not..

That's probably the case in all reality hahaha but you can't prove that he did. No one can. That's all I'm trying to say about it. It would be hard for me to see a scenario where they could spin that into a suspension or a failed test without serious backlash from the NFLPA. They won't allow that to happen. It literally wouldn't be worth the effort for the NFL or the commish.
