You'd think so. Over the last 5 NFL seasons, Grads stat line is, in total : 13/29 for 174 yds 1TD, 1 Int.

He's 33 now, hasn't played hardly at all for 5 yrs, and can't seem to get on the field when he does.

Seems like a decent guy who works hard enough. But, most players don't get to pick when the time of their 'retirement'.

I agree with most and its time to move on. They'll be scrutinizing the preseason cuts for sure.

landry is our guy and when the cuts happen we will be looking. thats all they can do now. vaughn will get extra reps and they will evaluate them a lot closer now. he should get a ton of action because we can't afford jones to go down now.

Please let them hold off the street public tryouts before entertaining the thought of ever bringing Mike Vick back! :prayer:

Nobody that would matter a hoot one bit. Not a huge fan of Landry, but he did give us one win that helped the run last year. He's honestly the best option we have behind Ben as much as that may suck right now.

Thats too bad, by all accounts, Grad is a good guy.

Too brittle now though, will be interesting to see who they bring in. Don't think Vaughn makes it.

Vick is useless, hopefully Tomlin sees past his friendship and doesn't replay that travesty.

There'll be some cuts and we'll find someone serviceable. Let's hope it's not Vick.

    1. Grad pops a hammy and is toast.
    2. Martavis makes dumb and immature life decisions.
    3. Silverback stuck in a game of chicken with DamnYouRoger. Can't win unless he caves to the iron fist rule.
    4. Bell changes his cell number and gets torched by the Inquisition.

Sigh. Can we fans not catch a break and have a boring preseason for once? Just maybe Juice's suspension can be reduced to perhaps two games? Here's hoping. Meanwhile, hopefully a serviceable backup QB gets cut in the coming weeks and we pull the trigger. No no no and no to Vick.

Vick's brother looked REALLY fast running from the cops when he was recently arrested. Maybe we should just get him instead? LOL!

Dustin Vaughn IS the equivalent of public tryouts. I don't imagine there's much better than him on the discard pile right now. I also doubt that they'll pick up anyone who's cut to challenge Laundry. Maybe for the #3 spot.

It's not impossible, but it's not very likely at this point. Like it or not people need to accept the fact that Jones is the #2 QB

It should be like they did Landry in the preseason last year. I would let Ben play week 3 for a few series and other than that give those ttwo all the snaps.

Grad may be done, He just can't seem to stay healthy. with Ben's history of not being able to stay healthy
for a whole season. I would say we are looking at a slippery slope? #7 cannot be out of lineup for more
than 3 games, could be all losses depending on who we play.Next year is time for the PGH Steelers
    to find Ben R replacement.

    Quite.

Sure, we could pick up a Charlie Whitehurst, a Matt Flynn, a Kain Colter... but the results would be pretty much the same, except we'd only have a 10th of the playbook to use when they were on the field.

He had his best chance to prove himself in Dallas, but just couldnt raise his level of play enough to make the cut: I dont expect him to do any better here:

    ESPN September 2015:

Vaughan was one of 20 players cut by Saturday's deadline.

Vaughan made the Cowboys' 53-man roster last year as an undrafted free agent from West Texas A&M as the third quarterback behind Tony Romo and Brandon Weeden.

The Cowboys had hoped he could push Weeden for the No. 2 job in training camp but it never materialized even with Weeden missing two games with a concussion. Vaughan completed 35 of 67 passes for 343 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. He was sacked nine times.

That's so funny - I had the same exact impression - even looks like Graham in his helmet. Don't know a thing about this kid but compared to the Lion's scrub QB's - he looked real pedestrian in his intro.

Wow, 9 sacks playing in probably no more than 1/2 of 4 preseason games! Add 3 more vs Det, and he's been sacked 12 times while making 78 attempts. That's a ratio of .1538 sacks/Pass attempt.

To put that in perspective, Ben gets sacked - a lot, his career avg is .083 sack/attempt. His worse season was .116.

Vaughn must have pocket sense of JP Losman wearing a blindfold.
