Between now and Sat, July 25th...

Players report by 4pm on Saturday, July 25th, so my question is, what can the Steelers do between now and July 25th to get better?

Obviously, answers like stay healthy and off the wacky stuff are important, but those answers maintain the current level. What can they do to get better?

Which positions could a signing help?
Which players need to lose weight or build bulk?
What else?

In my personal life, I want these next few weeks to go slow, to be able to enjoy my time with family and at vacation destinations. I certainly hope the Steelers do the same. Having said that, I'm ready for football!

 

One of the players, I assume Ross Cockrell, can invent a time machine so that opening week of the regular season happens in the next few minutes.

Sorry, about your family and stuff but its a necessary sacrifice.

 

Wish I had a valid answer, but I`m kinda "snarky", by nature...

Ummm.. Stay in communication with each other thru the offseason, more than they may or may not do???

Veterans reach out to the rookies, to acclimate them to what`s expected of them July 25th?/"Build relationships?"...


Sign whatever high priced vet corner/ safety is still available, and jettison a contract of a currentley signed player, to magically come up with the money???

Seriously, not tryin to be a smart-ass...

But, I don`t know!!

Maybe Jarvis can get bigger/stronger...

Maybe some of our vets, can show the kids the ropes at their positions, before they get to camp,

But honestly, I think we got a pretty solid roster, that doesn`t need a LOT of makeover(Defensive secondary excluded...)...

We gotta hope one of our current tight ends(or more), can fill Miller`s shoes...

None of them are gonna be him, but between them, we might get the same production of blocking/ catching, if 2 of them are on the field at the same time, but none of them can do both...

I guess I would say, all our coaches, need to evaluate who we have, and how to get the best out of them...

I really don`t think we are far away from a Lombardi!

It would be nice if McCullers developed into a dominant force...

He`s in about his 3d year here, tho, I think, so I`m not holding my breath...

I`d give Doran Grant a shot to make it as a starting CB, but, that didn`t happen last year...
Wish I knew why...

Either he didn`t show enough ability on the practice field, or he had attitude issues...

I`d love to know which!

Hard to get better, without being on the field together...

I`m hopin Carnell can work with who we have, but it hasn`t looked great so far..

The best answer I can come up with, is for us to "come together",, as a team...

I know that sounds corny, but if there is one thing that stands out about all the seasons we won it all, is the "camraderie", and the giving a F about each other...

When the Steelers are a bunch of talented individuals, they might make the playoffs...

When they are "brothers", and give a **** about each other, they win SuperBowls!!!

So, I am hopin` the best way they can improve this offseason is to become a TEAM, with a common goal, who cares about each other...

I think we allready have enough talent in place!!

Jarvis came into the 2015 season bigger and stronger, it didn't help him produce more plays. He is what he is, which is a average player.

No nude pics sent out from Todd Haley's swinger wife unless @EddieBurro is included.
No holding out unless you're going into the final year of your contract -- and you've earned it.

What I'll be doing between now and July 25th: buying tickets for the Pens opener on Oct 13th vs the caps (where I'll be shedding tears of joy as they raise the banner) and a roundtrip flight the next morning (Oct 14th) to Miami to watch the Stillers hammer the Dolphins. What a weekend. What an amaaaaaaazing weekend. Hope hurricane season ends early this year so I dahn havta deal wit nunna dat dahn der.

HaHa, I agree with every thing you said. I was going to put much of that list in my original post. Of course all of those keep the team as status quo, don't necessarily make them better.

Maybe they could talk Heath out of retirement for one more shot.

 

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I don`t know what they can do between now and July 25 and am thinking between now and the first regular season game...hope nobody gets hurt and nobody does anything stupid.

Ugh. This is the worst of the waiting time IMO. So close, yet so far away before the first game that counts and have such high expectations for this year.

I've seen nudes of Dustin Johnson's wife. Unfortunately, she was a toddler at the time. They were on the wall at her grandfather's (Wayne Gretzky's dad, Walter's) house in Brantford,Ontario. I went to see the Great One's childhood home, the dad pulled in the driveway, saw me, and invited me in. Took me down to the 'trophy room' (the basement) and gave me a tour. All of Wayne Gretzky's childhood trophies, he let me try on game used jerseys and took pictures of me, gave me some autographed pics, a puck, I held a couple of the sticks Wayne used to break Gordie's points record . . . it was insane. Surreal, actually. I've got video of him explaining why Wayne wore #99 and it's hilarious. Nicest man on the planet. He's still very active around town in Brantford and watches youth players at the Wayne Gretzky Rec Center (or whatever they call it). The dad is so popular around town that, not only is there a statue of Wayne outside the rec center, there's a statue of his mom and dad too.
