That's awesome about your wife dude! You should tell your wife that one way she CAN work for Disney and stay in OR is by selling vacations from home. There are a lot of people that do it. I talked to some Cast Members about it before. There are people calling me constantly for tips and trying to get discounts and things like that so I just looked in to actually doing it. They told me you have to graduate from the "College Of Disney Knowledge" but the Cast Member I talked to said it already sounded like I wouldn't even have to study from just talking to me for a few minutes. LOL! I do call on behalf of a lot of people but I don't mind doing it for free. I just think of it as a way to keep me in a sort of "Disney state of mind" between trips.

 

LOL! I don't mind being the mascot. I mean they get to go to all the games and stuff. If TTF will just make me up a costume I will gladly wear it to all the games and stand down on the field.

 

You guys will think this is awesome. Yesterday on a bus to Hollywood Studios there was this family that I thought was being really obnoxious and they were honestly sorta getting on my nerves. So then I hear the dad tell his kids "Hey you wanna see a cool picture of Joe Flacco?! He's down here right now!" and so I asked his wife if he mentioned Flacco and she said yeah. So I said "Do you wanna see a REALLY cool picture?!" and showed them me and Harrison and told them if Flacco sees him that he'd better start running for his life on his good leg. LOL!!! They actually turned out to be nice...for rats fans. HA!

 

My stepson worked at Disneyland for a while and I have a friend that worked there for a few years. Driving the jungle cruise boats. They both said the same thing, crappy pay but great benefits!

 

Yeah that's honestly what most people say. A lot of people ask me why I don't just try to go get a job there because I'm such a fan but I always say I feel like it would take the magic out of it for me. I sorta like NOT knowing how things are done because it's sorta like learning a magic trick. Once you know how it's done it just doesn't have the same effect.

 

There's lots of jobs there. One of the EHS people at our company was a safety officer for Disneyland for several years. She loved it! You're not there, and answering posts on here now, are you?

 

No I just got home today. I was there for the last 8 days though. I take my laptop with me and my cell phone. I pretty much never call people but just come and check what's going on around here and use my phone more for the My Disney Experience app than anything.

 

Thanks for the insight...there really is very little my wife doesn't know about Disney. I will ask her and see if she has heard of this. You mentioned not working for them because it would steal some of the magic...I agree. My wife did lose some of that when she was in the intern program. She got to see some of the behind the scenes stuff (Snow White smoking a cigarette in the break room, etc.), but she loved every minute of it and badly wants to go back.

I have seen them. They are actually better than the ACTUAL Kiss band who is one of the worst bands ever to exist. LOL! Man I can't stand Kiss!

 

No but I am just pc stupid and have no idea how to do things like that. So he is nice enough to help me.
