I agree with you that after Blount was cut the Steelers failed in replacing him. That was a pretty big screw up.

Pretty hard to fault the Steelers for signing a great backup in Deangelo, having 2 starting caliber RBs, and having them BOTH go down in the same season.

    C'mon man.

Bell was injured and ruled out for the season heading into week 10. Blount was cut heading into week 10. Like I've been trying to tell you guys it's the exact same situation so I don't know how you can agree one time and not the other. Also, since it's the reason for back to back playoff losses and our coach has showed he doesn't learn from experience.. That's why I'm still livid and discussing it.

I think the time has come to stop arguing about it here unless you have new, compelling evidence instead of the same tired argument. If you keep pushing it here, then you are solidly in troll territory. Enough is enough. Thanks.

Both years the Steelers did a great job in the offseason to start with Bell/Blount and Bell/Williams.

Nobody could have foreseen Blount walking out on the team or Williams going down as well.

This year the Steelers signed Todman and Toussaint in September. So how did they repeat the mistake of waiting too long to replace the RBs? They were both there before Bell or Williams went down and were learning the offense.

Just how many RBs do you want exactly? Haha.

Not much point in investing in a group of RBs when Bell is in the game 75% of the snaps.

Coincidence he's always injured for the playoffs?

Rotation of 3 quality backs throughout the season would have many benefits. Most importantly hopefully keep Bell healthy for the playoffs. If somebody goes down then they are ready. Running backs matter. Broncos offense won a Super Bowl off CJ Anderson and the defense. CJ Anderson had 54 touches and 0 fumbles in this post season, may I add.

My opinion is also that Tomlin focuses too much on using one back.

You can't blame Tomlin for freak injuries though other than they have a greater likelihood with more carries. Bell had 113 carries last year before injury so how can it be overwork?

I think RBs break down from overwork though. Willie Parker didn't have the build to get 350+ touches a year. But Cowher did that too.

Deangelo runs like a younger man and he has split carries with J Stewart most of his career. That probably helped his body if not his salary.

Rotating 3 backs is too much though. Can't have a 3rd back taking touches away from Bell especially when Bell is the best in all scenarios.

You guys are wasting your time, 412 isn't interested in being enlightened. The fact that not a single person has agreed with him should be a light bulb going on in his head.

Some people who come to message boards are only interested in forcing inaccurate statements down everyones throat. When you can't find a singe ally to your stance, time to step back and go hmmm, might be wrong about this one.

Actually you got your "rebuttals" like 3 months ago when you started this thread. It's just that you lack the basic human intelligence needed to gather such obvious information.
