I'm not into rap, but good for Le'Veon. I'm glad he did something else he enjoys, and there's no harm in it. He sounds good, I guess. I dunno. :lolol:

Bell for a Grammy! [IMG] :dancing:

I think Terry had a great singing voice.

That's the new rap. Snoop Dog had something to say about it.

    NSFW ! Contains the N-word.

I do on occasion, but for the most part it is garbage. Most of it is about fake fat bank accounts, fake leased cars, hoes and drugs.

There is some talent in some and I can appreciate the way the beats hit mixing with the voices. So, even though it sounds like "Daditta Da Ditta Da Bitta Da DA" it may actually make a decent riff.

It's not Mozart, Schubert, Elton John or even LL Cool Jay and Run DMC for sure.

For the most part all I do is listen to the beat and harmony, which most often is a remix of something done by a more traditional musician.

Grammys are for acting. That's why Brown gets one. Oscars are for singing!

Honestly, I don't waste my time on hypocritical people that try and use racism as a crutch and then spew the N word and thug livery throughout songs. I made it half way through Bells (C)Rap song and heard the N word twice. That was enough for me so I turned it off. Thought he was actually better than that as a human being but who knows.

Thats what I got from it. I dont listen to rap but Ive been around enough people who do music professionally to recognize some talent in there.

Good for him, trying something he's passionate about. I personally can't handle that auto tune stuff.

Can't listen to enough of it to have an opinion on it. But I'm sure some people would think what I listen to is crap.

Yeah. It's not my sort of thing - I've got a fairly broad taste in music, but this stuff just misses the mark for me.

Still, I've heard much worse from sports personalities...

The last concert I attended was the Virginia Symphony with Sarah Chang so I am definitely out of the loop on what is considered good or bad rap. I did have a Big Daddy Kane cassette back in the day. :)

Agreed. That one is a big improvement on the previous attempts. And probably more listenable than the Superbowl Shuffle.
