Why do I care so much ?

I was invited to a Bengals party last week since I live locally to that delusional place. Told them that they would not understand how emotionally involved I get. I couldn't imagine what would have happened had I been surrounded by Bengals fans there in the closing minutes of that game. All hell would have probably broken loose at my expense.

 

yea, "good game, peace out!!" probably wouldn't have gone over too well...

I LOVE this post.
I never asked myself this question. I mean, I'm nothing special. I don't personally know any of these guys- I've never even been to a game. But what they do affects me in ways nothing else ever has. I'm in a horrible mood & sometimes even cry when they lose, I'm in a great mood & sometimes even cry when they win. During the game? I scream & throw things & I've even broken a few things. Family & friends have bought me soft "Bad Call Bricks" & a stuffed ref whose arms & legs are attached by Velcro.
My family loves the Steelers too. Well everyone except my little sister. I think she just wants to be different just to be different because she doesn't really watch the games when they're on. She's a Saints fan- which I don't really mind too much. My Grandma would watch the game with me. She really didn't know what was going on but she'd hide her eyes too if they'd get into the red zone.
I have a lot of Steelers gear/merchandise I've accumulated throughout the years. I got something Steelers for every situation. I wear my Steelers gear all year long- not just during football season. I have a shirt that says "Eat. Sleep. Steelers." That says it all for me. As people have said, it's a way of life.
