Coaches should be fined

I know that we are beating this subject to death but I think that the coaches of any team should be fined that can't control a player i.e Burfect. For a coach or coaches to let someone like that carry on like a lunatic is not acceptable. If he can do that then the coach and player should be suspended for a few games.

 

I get what you're saying but I disagree, mainly because I don't want to open that can of worms. Why give the league more power to fine people based on subjective evidence? And coaches aren't even protected by a union like the players are.

I think an acceptable punishment for the coach would be to have his player unavailable for a significant portion of time.

 

I think a fine for Lewis is way underreacting to what happened Saturday night. Lewis needs to be suspended for a season.

 

Funny thing is if Burfict and Jones had not reverted to their thugdom with the game on the line the narrative would have been how Marvin Lewis deserves so much credit for sticking with these troubled players and how Burfict ended up winning the game for them with the sack of Ben and the big interception.

Man, I have never seem somebody go from HERO to GOAT in a football game as quickly as Burfict! Justice was served!!
