They have a really good defense, Ward in particular. Not to worry, for every pass defended that Ward has Talib will have a PI or PF penalty!

I bet TJ has been thinking about chirping the Steelers for years. Couldn't do it with the Browns, so he has to get his shots in now that he's on a good team.

I like the maturity that our players display in their response. I look at it this way, if we can't go out and run with the Denver's defense we really have no business being in the play-offs!

i'm not worried about the talking but the cold. we have had such warm weather so far this year and denver has had snow a couple of times. i hope our guys are ready to play in colder weather for the first time this year. not extreme but different for the receivers.

don't come into our house talkin chit donkey. we are the pittsburgh steelers and steeler nation. this ain't ski country, this is steeler country and you will lose. you should not poke the bear tj.:smiley1::cool:

Ben is like a dog... He gets frisky in the cold. I think our guys will be fine as long as the ground is in good shape (far from certain... Are they still letting other teams play on the field?)

Talib will be matched up with Bryant, and he isnt bashful boasting about them playing man coverage either:

“We’re gonna do what we do, and they know what we’re gonna do,” Talib says. “What’s our record now, 10-3? We didn’t play 13 games this year only to go to Pittsburgh and change our whole scheme. They know we’re going to be in man. I guess we’ll find out if you can or you can’t (do it).”

Talib is really good but, sometimes, he seems to play "dirty". He certainly gets his fair share of penalties.

The Raiders burnt them on a few plays and the Steelers can as well . It's not like they are going to run a bunch of zero coverage , they run a lot of 2 deep man so they do have a lot of bracket coverage . We need to run the ball effectively and everything else should open up.

The Broncos have gone with one of two strategies this season in pass defense: 1) Playing sides, with Talib at left corner and Harris at right (in nickel, Harris slides inside with Roby on the right); or 2) Playing size, with Talib on the big receiver and Harris taking the smaller one. Talib was coy about the Broncos’ plan this week—obviously—but the latter strategy would make sense. Talib, a physical corner, would cover the 6-foot-4 Bryant; Harris would use his short-area quickness to guard Brown; and Roby would take Wheaton.

It's supposed to be 45 degrees in Pittsburgh on Sunday. That's not cold for western Pennsylvania in December. That's a downright heatwave. :lolol:

I was reading that Denver plays a lot of single high safety and likes to bring the other one up to guard against the run. Teams that have employed that strategy have not done well against us.

I hope Talib is right and that they don't change it up :thumbs up:

Just read that Ward is out for Sunday's game on PFT. I guess that will give him an excuse if we stay hot...

Yes, Ward and Bolden are both out for Sunday. Might be some holes up the middle and on some deep routes.

    Apparently Ward hadn't givien up
a touchdown in about 2 years or something. Guess that's how he gets out of bad match-ups....

I work with a Broncos fan and he said the 3rd string safety they started last week was responsible for giving up the go ahead score vs the Raiders. It is a big concern so I'd expect them to up the pressure on the front side to cover the weakness in the middle.

Has Denver seen an offense like ours yet? I'm going with no because they didn't play the Cardinals. There is basically always a mismatch somewhere when it comes to our offense. You can't stop it all. I just really wish we had Bell but Williams is running like one of the top backs in the league so we're still good.
