Then win the division. Do not win division get a wild card. Simple as that.

Expand the playoffs to 16 teams. Top two teams in each division make the playoffs then play each other. Then the teams are seeded by their record and play the other teams outside their division. Would definitely create more rivalries within the division.

I don't agree with 50% of the teams making the playoffs. They already reward mediocrity enough. Teams will be making the playoffs with a 6-10 record if they were to expand it anymore.

You're right, 50% of the teams is too much. With the direction things are going and the popularity of the game to the fantasy crowd I could see the NFL going in this type of direction though.

You never know. We have seen 11-5 teams miss the playoffs before.

I really don't care about the seeding format.

Top 2 teams get a bye, 3rd and 4th seed determined by record and host, and winning a division guarantees you a wild card.

How is that hard to understand or disruptive to the current format. All it means is a team doesn't get it easy just because they play in the perennially horrible AFC/NFC South.

I'm amazed that anyone would care if that was the format.

Winning the AFC North is an accomplishment. Ravens, Steelers and Bengals can all go to the playoffs any year.

Winning the AFC South means you beat a rookie QB with an interim coach in Tenn, a Brian Hoyer led Texans unit without Foster, the Jags (enough said), and that you are the Indianapolis Colts.

Colts have won it 9/12 past seasons.

IF YOU ARE IN A BAD DIVISION YOU SHOULD HAVE A BETTER RECORD ANYWAYS.

Seriously, Carolina was 3-6 outside their division last year. Playing in their division they were 4-2.

"This is the way it is so I'm right" is a dumb argument.

Getting **** on when you leave a weak division shouldn't get you a damn thing but it does.
