Did people just leave early or what? Y not stay and support the team even if your winning by that much?

When your winning by 21 with 3 minutes to go a few people tend to want to beat traffic.

It doesn't help that all the seat holders from the upper deck hang out on the ramps all game long.

That's not why. I was at the OT game vs the Ravens and people left before it was over.

A lot of people have serious traffic phobia's.

Trust me, I'm one of them, but I would never leave a game early.

Maybe because you don't live in Pittsburgh and it doesn't matter when you get home?

Again I'm confused this isn't a publicly owned team like the Packers so who cares what the seats look like? It also isn't a stadium designed to amplify some bandwagon fans and their millionaire bought trademarked nickname(12th man) it is a stadium design to showcase the skyline of Pittsburgh and the confluence of three rivers. The crowd noise will never be what it is in Seattle or Texas. Maybe if they play at Beaver Stadium the place will be rocking like the BlastFurnace of old but what are people so upset about.

So when I go to Blue Jays or Maple Leafs games and have to be to work at 6 am the next day, it doesn't matter when I get home? Pittsburgh isn't the only city in the world with a pro sports team. If you can't stay in your seat during an overtime game, give your ticket to a real fan.

I don't live in Pittsburgh either and yesterday's game didn't go into OT.

No, but the Ravens one did and thousands of people left early. These idiots drive the prices up and don't even stay for the whole game. Let the real fans have the tickets

This is just ridiculous. Not your post, you have a good point, but the idea of shelling out all that money to see your favorite team, just to scoot out in the middle of the 4th to try to beat traffic is hard for me to wrap my mind around, and I detest traffic probably more than anyone. They could probably have a pretty well rated reality show with just me driving around in rush hour in different cities.

You and me both. I literally moved out to the country and transferred to a new job location in the country to avoid driving anywhere near a city. I literally can't stand traffic. Anytime I sit in traffic, I literally vibrate and almost melt down. When I drive, I plan my route around the lowest traffic, not the quickest route. I'm okay with my drive taking twice as long provided I'm moving the entire time.

That's why when I went to Pittsburgh recently I walked from the stadium after the game back to my hotel, the Wyndham university center. Not going to lie though, we walked through some pretty sketchy part of town though that made us all kind of wish we had taken a cab.

If your Team is winning or it seems they may have a chance to win then I think you should stay until the last second ticks off .....I could see a fan leaving when the Team is getting beat down that's hard to watch ....

Maybe I'm just used to the San Diego/Jack Murphy/Qualcomm traffic nightmare. When my dad had Charger season tickets, neither he nor any of his group stayed 'til the end of the game. When the Steelers come to town, I stay until the last dog is hung! (that one's for you, Vick) Generally, it seems that fans that live in their team's cities tend to beat traffic because, after all, they can just go to the stadium next week.

Nobody is expecting it to be like Seattle. It would just be nice to have some type of home field advantage.

With that said, I thought this weekend was pretty good. I'm not sure if anybody at the Steelers reads on here. But they didn't seem to nurf the crowd noise on TV as much, they were playing music and trying to get the crowd hype when they had the Browns pinned deep at the end of the 2nd, and the broadcast seemed very tactical on which angles of the stadium they showed. But yeah OP people left early but it was a blowout. Do I think they would have stayed if it was close? If this season so far has been any indication then no but it is what it is. During the game the atmosphere seemed pretty good especially for a 1pm game.

I was at the game yesterday and the place was packed at the beginning and through half time. A big part of it is people going to the bathroom, concessions or to smoke on the ramps. Based on the parking lot after the game, not a lot of people left early yesterday. Regarding sound, no its not like 3 rivers, but the crowd was loud yesterday and clearly caused problems for Cleveland. I'm not sure where the complaining about the crowd is coming from, at least not based on yesterday's game.

watching the game yesterday I was thinking the crowd noise was a lot better and timed well while the browns were on offense and a little quieter when Ben was changing plays.

GOOD JOB JEH!!!!!! WAY TO GET THEM ORGANIZED.
    BIG MOUTH;)
