2 weeks to plan how to defeat that artificial fan atmosphere known as the 12th man. Get in the lab Haley and prove you are as smart as you think you are.

I know we need the rest, but I'm kinda bummed it's time for our bye week. We could really get some momentum going now with today's win. Oh well, our guys need to heal up and get ready for Seattle.

If our D plays like today - Wilson will rip us to shreds with his arm and feet - we have to hope we continue the positive turnover rate and our O can keep pushing on and putting up points.

Our pass defense looks sad. No rush and no coverage.

At least we don't have to listen to Dan Fouts broadcasting the game this week. He is a real Steeler hater and always has been.

He joins the likes of Phil Simms and Chris Collinsworth. I will say Collinsworth isn't as bad as he once was though.

In today's Game? I disagree. I think we sacked JM 6 times?

Your right, but they gave up almost 400 yards to Manziel and there were a few drops by Browns receivers. It seemed as if he had quite a bit of time on a lot of pass plays.

I think they wanted to sit back and make Johnny read the defense. He did a lot better than I thought he would.

Johnny played a very good game and the Browns had a great game plan . They had the Steelers running game dead had Jones not went down we would have lost that game IMO.....

They're going to need to go at least 4-2, may need 5-1 due to their bad AFC record to get into the playoffs. Not a stretch to see KC getting to 10 wins and either the Jets (more likely) or Bills getting to 10 also (at least 9) and would likely win a 9-7 tie with the Steelers.

not sure if it has been discussed by seems strange to me that Ben was not starting. Tomlin said it was since he didn't get the practice reps. Does he really think Landry is a better option than Ben due to a few missed practices? He talked about Ben missing out on the game plan. Seriously?

They need to clean up RZ offensively too. 1-6 today.

They gave up 9 points. That is what matters. It's the most important stat for the defense.

Yep. Probably only 3 without Bens Int.

6 sacks, forced turnovers, key stops, they played a good game. Who cares about yardage, its very hard to stop that in todays NFL.

This. With the current rules favoring the offensive players, you won't see too many "dominant" defenses. The successful ones have to be able to get sacks, get turnovers, and hold teams to 3 in the RZ. Simple as that.

I could care less how many yards we give up. We gave up only 9 points, and in my mind that's good defense (even if they gained 400 yards).

We have been doing well getting sacks/turnovers and have a pretty low PPG allowed. If we keep that up we will be very tough to beat.

And the only TD they had was because of a gift pick and short field. I am concerned about all the passing yards but as long as they keep the opposition out of the end zone throw it all you want. They shut the door on the run game. 6 sacks. Not to shabby...

The posters who say that the 9 points are what matters most are correct. I read in Bill Walsh's book about how his 1980 team gave up a record 42 completions to Richard Todd while playing a 'bend but don't break' defense and he said, "They set records. We won the game."

I think Tomlin's thought was we can win this with Landry Jones so take no chances with Ben. The other thought is Ben is healthy enough to play so if something does happen to Landry, Ben can go. And boy did he go yesterday. Makes me appreciate him that much more after yesterday. That guy must have a pain tolerance off the charts!

After watching the game last night I worry more about Ben being injured again than anything else. The Seahawks are not the team they were last year and we have a good chance of picking up the win. But when they bring the defensive heat they bring it well and could easily injure Ben again and this time it might be for the season.
I know Ben it tough to bring down and that is what worries me most. He might shake off the first guy trying to bring him down but Seattle seems to have another guy or two right there. I know the risk of injury to the QB is present in every game. I just didn't like what I saw from the Seattle pass rush last night and how they get more than one player to the QB at the same time quite often.
