Yeah I wish the bye was now instead of later but we'll just have to do what we do because the standard is the standard and we can't live in our fears. Obviously.

I can't remember a Steelers team with this many injuries during a season. If we can overcome these and still make the playoffs then I like our chances in January and possibly February.

With the Johnny M led Browns up next, isnt that like having 2 byes :lolol:

No, I dont want to laugh because this is exactly the type of game they will screw up.

Yeah and this is basically Cleveland's Super Bowl. Every year. LOL!

Better news than I'd hoped. Thx for the update, BFT.

How is Cleveland's run defense? I haven't watched them much.

Seems I have heard this similar quote over the past few years a lot.

With Ben out another few weeks and his history of not returning to form after injury, do we just ride Landry Jones if he plays well? I doubt it but worth considering.

Ed Bouchette is saying he'll be back in a couple of weeks. With the bye coming up we might see him in the Seachicken game. Here's hoping anyway.

Cleveland is last in the NFL giving up an average of 147.6 rushing yards per game.

Thanks, JJ. So we can look forward to a gameplan designed around Deangelo for Landry's second career start. I think that's great news.

Thankfully we still have alot of great players that will play. We need to give Deangelo the balm alot while keeping them honest with AB, Heath and Bryant. That said the surrounding pieces need to hold onto the dang ball. Heyward-Bay and Wheaton dropped well everything thrown to them

And you can bet they will have as many people as possible in the box to stop the run. Landry will have to throw some to keep them out of there. Hopefully it's only short quick passes as he struggles with long or across the field passes.

So not to downplay this injury.... But is there any way he can further damage the foot? He can't tape it up and give him the injection to dull the pain?

A fracture in a bone I can understand, but this isn't an ankle you need to shift with.

He will be out a minimum of 3 weeks, if it's a fracture it will be in a cast 4 to 6 weeks, and you dont numb it up to play, it has to heal....

Well at least this injury is followed by the browns and the Bye week. I think we can handle that. I hope... Bye weeks can be rough.
