There are a couple big reasons why the season is going the way it is.

    1. Selfishness - Even before injuries wrecked our special teams the team faced down the season without Le'Veon Bell...then Martavis Bryant...FOR THE SAME REASON. The fact that Bryant couldn't last another second without taking a hit of weed says volumes about where his priorities were!

    2. Ego - Stopping the Bengals one two critical 4th downs in the 4th quarter last Sunday only to negate those by boneheaded personal fouls. Unacceptable.

    3. Kicking game - It sucks to lose your first two kickers before the regular season but Scobee's time with the team was AWFUL. I'm not saying better kicks would have won those games but it would have given us a whole lot better chance to do so.

    4. Injuries - Not much you can do here. Get Roethlisberger back, lose Le'veon...**** happens. But a memo to the offensive line: guard the QB with your life! Also, the league needs to come down harder on illegal hits like the one to Roethlisberger.

Best case scenario: Steelers finish 9-7

The top two are the most frustrating because the players control those.

They decided that football was not that important to them.

    I disagree.

Could be muchhhhhh worse with what you stated.

Worst case scenario is 9-7. You act like the steelers are cooked.

Sure, we lost bell. BUT we have dwill! The defense is better then last year. If the defense was like it was last year the steelers would be 1-7. Just saying.

The offense will only continue to improve. The defense will keep doing what needs to be done. And I think the steelers finish 11-5 or 10-6 with a wild card. (Unless Ben goes down again :( )

With regard to item 3, I would argue that bad kicking absolutely cost us the Rats game and probably the Cheats game as well. The injury bug has acquired a taste for Black & Gold, but the Steelers will be able endure the Bell injury much better than a season ending Ben injury. D-Will will be a more than adequate replacement the rest of the season. I think we finish 6-2 to finish 10-6.

I'm not usually critical of newer members but were you actually going to grade the season up and until this point? This looks less like a look at how the team is actually doing and more of a list of gripes about the games?
