Boswell has a heart condition. One of the chambers of his heart doesn't work, so he
doesn't get enough oxygen in "overly strenuous" situations.

With that said, he didn't find out until his Combine medical exam.

Oh geez! Now we not only have to worry about our kicker missing a FG in a crucial situation but we've also got to worry about him dropping dead.

    OH SURE
NO PRESSURE in the nfl being a kicker
from a bad kicker to an unknown kicker with a questionable ticker

Steelers , can we add anything else to being a fan of the team???????

how about putting Ben back out there too early?

So you're saying he has to keep it out of the end zone and we need to keep him out of the dead zone?

One thing working for Boswell, the Denver game is at home! He might be the new Ryan Clark, unable to play at high altitude.

Here is a youtube clip in which he talks about it:

It's at the 2:05 minute mark where they start talking about being at the combine.

He doesn't do a good job describing the actual condition, but worth listening to his thoughts on
    his health.

Have you all seen the kicker the Jags kept? He's missed two game winners (late 4th, OT) so far...

    I was wrong
not only about Scobee but the rookie too who looked so good
    hey wait a minute
I'm good enough to be a talent scout for the STEELERS

I like it. I think its good to have a kicker who has had success with onsides kicks in the past. On average it is a low percentage success rate.

I definetly like this kids attitude. It seems like he was a team leader at Rice.

    -Thinking creatively about his work
    -believing in his idea,,
-confidence to Reach out to the coaches, about something they're working on,
-initiating with the coaches about something he can do to help the team, and most importantly,
-executing something that took some cool heels to deliver.

Did the team actually cut Scobee? Maybe they cut Berry since this kid can also punt and keep Scobee for long kickoffs?
