Don't you think this should be talked about in pre game practices. Folks I hate to keep harping on it, we the Steelers are just poorly prepared. And the Rooney's let it happen.
What's going to become of the Steelers when they don't have a Superstar QB? God help us.

There were some blown call by the refs that hurt the Steelers, blatant holding by the Ravens O-line on Harrison and Moats on two different plays and Vick's facemask was grabbed on a scramble.

I think you are right. After one of his long runs they showed a reply, and I paid attention to the personnel. We had two linemen in on that play, Tuitt and Heyward. You get those two outstanding guards out on our LB's and DB's, bad things will happen. I suspect a lot of Forsett's yardage came when we were expecting pass.

I think our favorite DL Cam Thomas was on the field for some of those gouging runs as well.

Personally, I am actually somewhat pleased with the defense so far. Yes they are giving up some yards, the running by Baltimore was a bit upsetting, but at least they are doing things that complement what should be a great offense (though not so much w/out Ben). They are creating some havoc with getting a pass rush on a fairly consistent basis and getting sacks plus they are more around the ball in the secondary. Also there have been very few explosive plays over 20 yards. So I give some kudos to Butler for that. They do need to clean up the tackling that would have helped limit some of the run yardage.

If anything I am more upset with the offense, except for the outburst against the 49ers they have either moved the ball all over the field w/out scoring points or have poorly executed in key situations and done really questionable things like the gadget play in NE when they were basically manhandling the NE defense, having a something like four 3rd and 4th down situations late against Baltimore and not even once giving the ball to a guy in Bell who may be the best RB in the game, and using your trusty TE Heath Miller only once for a TE screen.

I was one of the believers that Vick would do good, and he did. BUT the ball should not have been in his hands at the end of the game. For what almost seemed like the entire second half really...

Bad coaching. I understand the confidence boost but when it's on the line 3 or 4 times, you would think that the best player on the field would get the ball ATLEAST twice.

So, Ben comes out today and says the 4th and 1 throw was never practiced to Vick's right. Game on the line, they put it in the hands of a backup QB and a play they never practiced. Unreal....
