Being that we traded a 5th for Boykin, and 6th for Scobee.

Not a cold chance in heck, we are going to trade another draft pick.

I say no way we bring in RG3 but the guy does have a point. These next 6 games will make or break our season. We have to go at least 3-3 and that will be a miracle in my opinion, to have any chance. Even if Ben comes back in 6 weeks and we are 5 and 4 we still face Seahawks, Bengals, Broncos and Colts. Will 9-7 make the playoffs? It's possible so I guess we'll see

The author of that "fine piece of journalism" answered his own question in the first paragraph - Ben will be out 4-6 weeks (and knowing Ben, probably less) - why would we be so stupid as to mortgage our immediate future on someone like RG3? Never happen...

Well, look,at Bens record with injury. Not bad, but as he enters his twilight, he will probably start missing more games, especially with his hold the ball style. IF, and it's. A big IF, RG3 is willing to learn under Big Ben for the next 2-3 years, and we could get him for a 4th and one of our wideouts, I would do it. He will have 10 days after the Ravens game (if Vick stinks up the joint) to get ready. I think RG3 game is more like Bens than Vicks at Vicks advanced age. I will be very surprised if anything happens unless either Vick gets injured or has 3-4 turnovers. And there is always the chance if he comes in and does good, Bens injury takes longer to heal, he does good things, you could trade him to a team for a higher pick than you gave up.

I saw this article this morning; I think it a ridiculous notion. Not to knock RG3, I think he looked like a special talent his rookie year, and think his downward track ever since Shanahan tried playing him through the knee injury has been been as much influenced by a maelstrom of different approaches, philosophies and opinion as his own abilities. That said, his head has had have been spinning over the past couple of seasons trying to acclimate to the approach du jour in Washington; either way, the results have not been good. To expect that he could step into yet another approach and produce different results would give pause to even the most ardent of longshot enthusiasts.

RG definitely needs a fresh start, that dumpster fire of an organization has done everything possible to ruin this kids career but his revitalization tour isn't going to begin in Pittsburgh. Dumb article.

Yeah, but if you would have mentioned the Steelers would have signed Vick 2 weeks before it happened, nobody would have believed that either.

True, but now that they have it makes an RG3 all the more unlikely a target. You could debate who would fare better in this situation, 35 y/o Vick with a month in a Steelers jersey or RG3 with less, and I honestly don't know who I'd favor. But the cost is far less with Vick, and that trigger has been pulled; they're not going to reverse course now, and likely won't look at any other option unless it becomes a total train wreck.

IIRC we would have to also pick up the $16mil a yr contract too. But we do have good luck with ex-Redskins; Clark, Suisham, Randle el, :hmm::hmm:

If I heard right RG3 has a 16 mil option only if he gets hurt:

Washington picked up Griffin’s option f0r 2016 and it is worth $16.155 million. The option is guaranteed for injury and will be fully guaranteed on the first day of the 2016 League Year.

With all this said as much as I would love to have RG3 for 4 games it is not worth the risk on the money side. I think we are going to be stuck with Vick for 1-2 games, no way he last's anymore. Then we will have our super backup LJ............I really believe with what I have read Ben is going to need all 6 weeks due to the bone bruise.

I'd rather have RGIII than Vick. But then, I play Madden with the salary cap turned off.

I agree with BF - his career has been taken apart by the Redskins, and there's probably a lot more to come from him. But it won't be here.

I looked at the wife Sunday when Ben went down (thinking he was done for the year) and told her I hope we get her boy. She's a huge skins fan so i tend to follow them closely also. As mentioned above I also think RG needs a fresh start. Will it happen here, probably not, but he would be a way better option than Vick. I would love to have him here to sit and learn from Ben until it's his time. Dont believe it will happen, but hey, who thought we would ever sign Vick??????

 RG 2 1/2 is a flash in the pan QB. It's easy to blame the team for how he was handled. He just isn't that good.

#2 is the QB for now. I believe Ben will be back in 4 weeks . We can only hope that he doesn't throw it away...
