    I assume he will go to the practice squad. I really like this kid and I'm kinda shocked he was the one to get cut.

    Was really hoping it would be Dri. I had high hopes for him, but as has been discussed in another thread, he's done pretty much nothing on game day and we've just got so many other weapons.

    There will be another cut when Bryant gets back. It's very likely it will be another offensive player, so Dri is not out of the woods yet.

    I was kinda expecting Dri then Murphy to go so the positions cut mirrored the positions reinstated... But Murphy was bound to go back to the PS at some point, so why not now?

    I'm bummed that we're letting Murphy go after the potential that he demonstrated in preseason. I hope he makes it to the PS, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone grabs him for their active 53. I don't think all 31 other teams have 5 better WRs on their rosters than Murphy.

    I hope you're wrong but you could be right. I would hate to lose him as we are going to lose Wheaton.

    I'm not surprised, fans make a bigger deal about these fringe players then the coaches.

    The fact that they didn't play him at all in a blow out had me wondering if a cut was coming but doesn't look like they are ready to part ways yet.

    Right or wrong, bottom line is Dri is a 3rd rd pick that will be afforded every opportunity to make it.

    Yep. Murphy has a lot of upside, and maybe next season we see some more of him. But I'm not sure any other teams will see the need to cut someone to make room for him. If they do, of course, then good luck to him.

    I was hoping Archer would be it he has added nothing. Guess we will see who's next when Bryant comes back.
    Hope he lands on the PS.

    I didn't think they'd cut Dri. I didn't see Murphy getting waived, though. I would be flat out shocked if they got any trade offers for him. Shocked.

    Surprised to see them go with only 4 WR's but 6 RB's. I guess it's because they can send Bell or Archer out wide?

    They will only have 4 for 2 weeks plus you have Archer and if everything were to fall apart Bell. Plus they only dress 4 a week.

    What kind of football condition will Martavius Bryant be in
    coming back from his suspension? He may not be added so quickly?
    I am shocked that Dri Archer is on the team this morning.MT & KC
    aren't ready to admit they had no business taking Dri in the 3rd round.

    I am not sure why we are keeping 2 FB's. We now have Bell, Williams, Dri and Todman at RB and we are a passing team why cut a WR?

    The facility he is at is a rehab and training facility. He is young and got a lot of work in the preseason. I think he will hit the ground running.

    I'm really thinking they don't want teams to get tape on him in actual game situations. I wouldn't if we had plans on cutting him to slide him to the practice squad.

    They had to have already had plans in place of who was going to be cut when these suspensions/IR designated to returns come up. Calculated to release him early and probably Dri in 2 more weeks to see what he can due and give the impression that he wasn't as valued.
