Im sure he knows, I'm sure they've talked to him, same as Josh Gordons teammates talked to him. Problem is, some people just cant lay off the weed, hopefully Bryant isnt one of them but considering every player knows when they test for this and he still has failed this many times, tells me he can't.

The only down side was I could taste food again. Oh, I thought I could before, but now I really taste.

    And it's delicious...

    Yes. I said downside. :lolol:

Lol. That reminds me of when they brought in the smoking ban in pubs over here. One of the main objections was that now we would have to smell what everyone really smelled like after consuming copious amounts of alcohol, once the smoke could no longer hide it. People were concerned. Seriously concerned.

Maybe, maybe not. all these threads are doing is going around in circles. Whether or not it should or shouldn't be legal or whether or not it is addictive or whatever, the fact is if you want to play in the NFL you can't do it. Bryant messed up. Let's give him a chance to clean up and get it behind him. If he can't then it'll take care of it's self.
I'm thinking he'll clean up. I read a quote where he said he embarrassed himself and his family and let his teammates down or something to that effect. Sounds like he may understand the seriousness of his actions.

I know it's for multiple infractions but I still think a 4 game suspension is really harsh. Maybe they could make the suspension for 4 games and then test him again randomly during any time of the first 2 games of the suspension and if the player passes then reduce it to 2 games overall. But, then again almost every employer doesn't give a 2nd chance what so ever.

The length of all these weed suspensions is ridiculous considering Goodell thought 2 games was adequate for Ray Rice pummeling his wife in an elevator.

Had to let two guys go at work last week each for failing a second drug test for pot within 6 months. It's a shame, one of the guys I've worked with for over 20 years and I'm good friends with. Tough thing to do, but it was out of my control. Can't have a guy operating heavy equipment on a construction site under the influence.

one 'punishment' is defined in hard terms as to the infraction and the punishment and the other is a judgement call by Goddell. I could be wrong but that's how I understand it.

Feel for you in that situation. Maybe good to remember that he knew the rules and he made his own choices knowing the possible consequences. Unless you were the one shooting him up. In that case...YOU SUCK!

I understand where you are coming from but how do you determine if the guy was actually operating heavy equipment on the construction site under the influence unless he was caught red handed? Sure, rules are rules and the company can't take chances due to liability but maybe he smoked it 2 weeks ago and wasn't impaired at all while at work. Either way company policy says he can't have it in his system so he took that risk that he shouldn't have taken in the first place. That's on him then. What if he just went to a concert and it just happened to be in his system as second hand smoke? Do they randomly test for alcohol by chance where you work or just drugs?

He knew what he was doing could cost him his job. As your friend, he still knows it. He doesn't put any blame on you for doing your job. Don't blame on yourself...silly man

maybe your feeling guilty because you had to do what you both knew you had to do. Your probably making it bigger than he sees it. He'll get another job. Unless of course if you shotgunned him. Then YOU SUCK!

My company does saliva tests but this still only shows usage in the last 2 days not when they actually used it.

He failed multiple tests and knew when the tests were coming. I dont think its harsh and I don't feel bad for him.
