Will either one of these guys make the team? Or maybe one makes the PS, and the other gets cut. I think they both have upside, or keep both guys and cut DHB sorry PWP :roflmao:that's your guy.

I really like Murphy. The kid seems like he's a natural at the position. He's only practiced there full time for a few days. Impressive stuff.

If we can't keep them both then roll the dice with Murphy IMHO.

I think they both make the practice squad.

I would almost cut DHB for Murphy. I would love to see him at QB this pre season as well.. If he can play above the line there and he can be a part of the 2 point conversion packages , then DHB would have to go ...I would still cut Landry before DHB , but if he keeps shining I hope we don't lose him...

The question with Phillips is his consistency. He does the highlight reel catches, but then drops what seem to be perfectly catchable balls. The question is whether that's just youthful inexperience, or something more ability-related.

As for Murphy - who isn't excited about what he could do?

GB may be looking for one of these guys, or a trade for dhb. for say a young lineman or DE?

Nah, GB are stacked at WR. They have like 11 guys competing for the final cut. Cobb, Janis, Montgomery (their 3rd round pick) can all hold the fort while Nelson is out, and they have a ton of young guys behind them.

I don't think we'll see a trade. It will be waivers or a 7th round trade...

I said it last year after the draft. In a couple of years, I fully expect Janis to be the #1 in Green Bay. With the injury to Nelson, I think Janis makes it as WR3 now, and will force his way onto the field, much as Bryant has for the Steelers.

I really like Murphy, but I think the practice squad is the best case scenario for him.

I'm thinking Murphy will make the 53, and DHB will be gone.
Phillips might be on the Practice Squad.

    Goodwin??

I'm hoping Goodwin makes the roster, cut DHB and PS these two guys. I doubt that happens though. I'm fearful DHB gets the 5th and final wr position, Goodwin to the PS along with one of these two guys. Probably Murphy at that point.

I would take Murphy, he seems to be progressing a lot each game. Not a big fan of Phillips, the easy catches that become drops are problematic

Murphy and Phillips have looked good, but really, why keep them? They'll never see the field without some injuries in front of them.

I doubt it Cobb will be #1 WR and Davante Adams #2 WR.

I would like to see him make the team, maybe he can play that Randle El role play some WR and throw some passes every now and then.

I finally had a chance to watch the 2nd half of Sunday's game. I like both guys, but I'm really impressed with Murphy, especially given that he's just learning the WR position. A couple more games like that and he won't be safe on the practice squad. I think he's a legit NFL 4th or 5th WR already, and has upside.

I'm not sure he's quite 4th string right at the moment, but could well believe that at the end of preseason. And I completely agree about him being unsafe on the PS.

Maybe I'm being harsh on Phillips, but I don't see the same problem. He's shown some excellent potential, but if I'm a GM I can probably see a lot of guys around the league to take. I think he'd be safe on the PS.

In "My" world CJ Goodwin replaces DHB as 5th WR. Murphy replaces Archer ( can you imagine the possibilities of Murphy Lining up behind W. Johnson and Ben ) and Phillips to the PS!!!! HHhhmmmm

Maybe not 4th string by our standards, but for a team starving at WR like Carolina or Cleveland he may be better than their 4th option.
