I blame Tomlin for this loss he did not have these guys ready to play tonight

 

Never bad watching Steeler football but with LOLandry in there it sure is ugly

 

I don't feel it was a waste. We got out first look at some players. Now, if Ben ever gets hurt, this team is done.

 

AV made some serious strides, good job by him tonite definitely a bright spot

 

I would take Orton over either of those. I wish we had tried for Colt McCoy when he became available.

 

It's becoming increasingly obvious that we don't have our heir apparent, that's for sure.

 

A lot of check down throws by L Jones, he definitely doesn't trust his eyes and/or arm

 

Oh well. Typical Steeler Pre-season game.

Have teams that WON the Hall of Fame game ever won the Super Bowl?

 

If Landry Jones is never active on game day, it won't make a difference.

There is a huge Talent gap between starters and scrubs. Think about it, there are few decisions about who to start.

But yes, I agree that we should blame Tomlin for not coaching the guys how to wrap up or look at the play clock

 

I think I heard Michaels say since a long time ago teams who PLAYED in the HOF game never won a sb that year. Could have heard wrong

Yeah this is CLEARLY on Tomlin. How could he NOT start Ben, AB, Heath, Harrison, Bell, Bryant, Wheaton, and all the rest of them and expect to win this game?! It's almost like in his mind this game means nothing.

 

Hopefully laundry Jones and Jesse James Are on the first plane out of here tomorrow morning

 

Wasn't a great performance overall but I cannot blame Landry Jones cause he had at least 12 great passes that were dropped. Jesse James I hope had 1st game jitters cause he was as bad as I have ever seen anyone play. Sammie Coates looked great most of the time just destroying Trae Waynes. But overall the team did not look good. Expected as early as it is. I hope in games 2 & 3 there is more consistency. Glad no one got hurt that I saw.

 

I got excited every time Murphy came in at QB, only to be let down when Jones came back in a play later. Can we please see someone else at QB?

 

Landry Jones best pass was the one he threw to the official.

And #6 went out with a knee injury. Let's pray it's not serious.

 

No sixth seed had ever won the superbowl playing all their games on the road until we did. I'm not worried about losing this game but Landry stinks. James is a rookie we shall see if he corrects it in the remaining pre season games. We were definetly the rustier team but that's not unusual with Tomlin teams, they always start slow. I want to get through the pre season with our starters in good health, ready for the patsies and maybe a rookie or two will show something too.

 

I think it's all part of the plan with Tomlin. I think he designs camp and the preseason to have the team peak late, which is why Pittsburgh has always looked poor in the preseason and started slow to begin the regular season. He builds the team to be at their peak in November, December, and January. Doesn't want to burn them out too early. I'm not worried.

 

Landry was definitely not awe inspiring and doesn't seem to have progressed a whole lot despite what the camp reports say. Then again, you can take almost any other 3rd stringer in the league and put him in there for a full game. That's pretty much what it's going to look like.

 

Archer showed he could have been an impressive UDFA, sigh

 

And that apparently he gets so excited that he trips over his own feet/lines on the field.
