Jack's last minute mock

Okay, I'd just about decided not to do a mock this year since I'm 0 for forever in previous mocks. But I can't stand it, I've got to give it a try. Here we go!:

1 Marcus Peters, CB, Washington - The Steelers get a CB with tremendous ball skills AND athleticism, a combo we haven't had in quite some time. Hold your breath on the off field stuff.

2. Demarious Randall, FS, Arizona State - DB with the first two picks and we're set in the secondary for the next 8-10 years.

3. Jeff Heuerman, TE, Ohio State - We draft our obligatory Ohio State player and get a pretty good TE in the process to learn from the greatest TE in Steeler history the next couple of years.

4. Nate Orchard, OLB, Utah - Probably won't fall this far, but if he does...

5. Alex Carter, CB, Stanford - My dream draft, three quality DBs in the first five picks. Carter is a 3-4 round projection but somebody drops and becomes a steal every year, right?

6. Dominique Brown, RB, Louisville - Big bruiser with great hands out of the backfield. Sound familiar? The Steelers were woefully thin at RB at the end of last season. That won't happen again!

7. Mario Alford, WR, WVU - A little guy in their back yard with great top end speed. Will compete as a kick returner where he averaged almost 29 yards per return in college.

 

Crap! There goes my first pick to KC. Maybe Bud Dupree???

I really started to go with Dupree as my number one pick. I just had a feeling he'd fall to us.
