I think they are nabbing Bell on the driving charge and not so much the smoking pot.

This is the problem that I have with this situation...Bell, first time offender....Blount, habitual offender and a slap on the wrist.

When before has he been in trouble with the NFL though? I do not remember him having any league issues. Just a reputation from college...and some training camp skirmishes.

This is his first league trouble...and his was the lesser of the 2 of them...so its no surprise his suspension could be less than Bells.

Had he been smoking and sitting like Blount then it would be one to two games, from what I understand the DUI charge is the one that makes it a possible 4 games

I'm guessing a two game suspension. I hope I'm right but bet I will be wrong.

Time for Art II to get in the Liar Goodell's ear and say hey dumb dumb, I have supported you ad nauseum, time to do me a solid and a 2 game suspension is more then enough. Got it you POS?! But Artie, your not my BFF...

I feel unfortunately it might be a 4 game.

Yeah, what's the difference between blount and T.O...both are locker room cancers. I knew we were taking a Huge risk when we picked him up and it truly came to bite us in the butt...and this N.E. involvement should also be investigated.

I loved the Blount signing last year, and think that if it would've played out rightly, we boast about the best tandem in the league. Blount wasn't used enough and I get it because Bell is the boss! However, I wanted to see Blount more involved just to give Bell a few more blows throughout the games... He was a workhorse in college and I didn't want him to burn out to soon. Plus if he goes down, we'd still be alright with Blount in my opinion. Thing is, Legarette is obviously a head case and I don't think it would've mattered if it was a 50/50 workload... He was gonna lose it at some point. Don't know why he hasn't cratered in New England with his 2 opportunities there now, hopefully he does. I think he and his agent saw an opening with or without Patriot tampering and he acted like a ***** to seize it.

I seem to remember reading something a couple months ago, about Bell pleading guilty to a lesser charge, to minimize the sentence from the legal system, and/or to lessen the punishment from the League.

If I remember right, and that`s a big IF,...

Bell had to complete some community service hours, and attend some kinda counseling/ rehab-type program, to mitigate his punishment...

Does anyone else remember reading anything like this, about his "plea deal"?

And know if it helps his potential punishment from Herr Goodell, or, just the legal system?...

    GO STEELERS!

He did take the plea deal and was doing his court appointed rehab and community service or so I read as well. However I don't think that it has much bearing on what the League dishes out remember Ben was never formally charged and was suspended 6 games for conduct detrimental to the shield. I don't expect Goodell to go lightly on Bell either since the Rooneys and the Mara's are the ones who thought he had too much power to begin with. I look for the full four games as covered by league policy with it reduced to two by the end of camp.

A.P. Already did counseling and now the grand wizard wants him to go to counseling... We will what the players union serves up. Honestly for the money they make I'd like to see them all burn but this ain't my daddy's league no more. None of us would get the same treatment. Screw up you're done that's how the world works but not in sports. And not in fame.

T.O. had issues in SF with Jeff Garcia, and in Philly he had problems with McNabb and got in a fist fight with Hugh Douglas ... after he got his shoes. And then Philly suspended him for the last 4 games of his final season there. I'm sure he had plenty of other problems too. Did people really forget this stuff, or did I miss some joke somewhere?
