He is just not a good outside CB . He started playing O.K. when matched against #3 ,#4 , and #5 WR'S then KC made the mistake of paying him like a #1 or # 2 CB and he lacks the skill to do it.

A total turnaround is in order from the meltdown we experienced...or were looking at another knee jerk mistake.

Didn't another big name go for a 5th rd pick? I'd aim for that but would be ok with a 4th.

I'd be willing to give a 5th and 6th if we get another 6th comp pick. this would definitely change our picking at the top even if it was a 3rd or 4th. is he worth a 3rd to us with a lot of CB talent sitting there in this draft at that level? hmmmm decisions, decisions.:hmmm::cool:

I said a 5th when this thread first started, Seems like of the trades this year has been for 5th's except the Samford, to the Eagles And the Gramn deal to SEA. The Steelers need to trade for a player. seems like I cant even rem lst time we traded for a player. EXCEPT Bettis, what a great day that was!!!

I think I'd go as high as a 4th...but would be more comfortable with a 5th or 6th. Should get the job done. They already invested a 3rd in him when they drafted him anyways. I mean shoot the Steelers traded Holmes for a 5th....and Wallace just go traded for a 5th so I think that is fair.

Then maybe even sign Patrick Robinson to a short term lower money deal and see what sticks...then they may not need to double dip at CB in the draft and just get one solid higher round pick.

The level of draft pick compensation for players often has a lot to do with the implications of taking on the contract. Wallace's contract is very unattractive, even with the dead money that Miami has eaten. Lewis's contract is very good for a starting corner. $2 million in 2015, then $5 million per year for 2016 - 2017.

I don't know what we need to give up for Lewis, but I just don't know if it would be worth it. Just sign veteran for cheap and groom some draft picks.

I wouldnt call him a cancer or whatever...jeeez...the guy was seeing his team being dismantled piece by piece...and he spoke out about it because he was worried about his team and what HIS future would hold. Was he next? Would he have to try and find a new team after being cut or be forced to play somewhere else? Thats not being a cancer...he's worried about his team and his future...who wouldn't be in that situation with how they have been doing things down there this week?!
