I guess that will depend on how they view his physicality in run support which has been in question. I think Trae Waynes goes #17 to the Dolphins (I don't like Waynes anyway, too grabby). And I think Peters, for all his ability, is taken off the board by ARII. And I think Quinten Rollins really improves his numbers at his pro day, but.....

my sleeper pick for corner in the first round is Alex Carter - Stanford. I had him in the second previously (just like I had Kyle Fuller early on last year, still PO'd the Bears took him one pick before us). But Carter looked good at the combine, has the NFL bloodlines and was successful at a big program. Good size and 4.5 in the 40. Not a blazer but do we need one for a zone corner?

BTW, I still like Landon Collins SS, but I just don't think he gets past Cincy.

 

darby is in the same mold as peters as far as questionable background. I do like carter turtle. I too was all about fuller last year, but. plenty of good corners still out there after the first and even second round to be had. I don't think we need to force one early.

 

yes, you're right. No need to force one just to get a CB. I'm really liking Craig Mager Texas St. I can only find two highlight tapes to go with the all star game, but he looked solid at the combine. Could be a great 5-6th rounder imo.

I watch fsu a lot. I dont remember seeing anything special about this kid. he doesn't play that fast. if its who I am thinking of without going back and looking, he doesn't like contact

 

from most reports, that has been his knock. more track guy than football player

 

ok thanks. I bet that is who I am thinking about. all you need to do is go back to the Georgia tech game and watch. many times on the option he would turn and run backwards.lol
