Man what a complete idiot! I hope this is not a member of this board! I guess the franchise pays attention to social media pretty closely. Maybe they even read this board??? LOL.

Saw this yesterday. I'm having a hard time believing he's a real fan and not some kid who's just along for the ride because it's something cool. Not a single piece of gear on him and sitting in the lower bowl.

 

Dude I could write a dang case study on this "selfie" craze! Don't even get me started. THEN to make things even worse I saw the other day that a company has started selling "selfie sticks" and they are selling like HOT CAKES!!! You can't make this crap up!!! I actually read a blog a couple of weeks ago about a guy ranting about the selfie thing and it was really interesting. He was talking about how people miss things happening because all they want to do is get a pic of themselves. It's weird that selfies existed when you were a teen though because I thought all your generation had to pose for hours and be painted. Interesting. LOL!!!

 

Dude that's really awesome they've been here! I've stood right in front of a LOT of players with a sign with the name of this site on it so I know they've had to have heard about it.

Sorry lizard! I'm not buying this part! The dozen or so games at Three Rivers I've been to I didn't don 'Steeler Gear' doesn't mean I wasn't a fan!

 

I never wear team gear or pretty much anything with a visible look at me label. I just hate feeling like a walking billboard. Does that mean I'm not a "real fan"? It seems to me the old adage don't judge a book by its cover is applicable.

 

So it wasn't enough to just take a selfie showing your intent to storm the field.... but he also felt the need to post a selfie after security took him away? Strange little boy.

I saw this at home yesterday. Funny this guy was maybe a section over from me at the game on Saturday. Wish he would have run on the field, would have made it a little more exciting. He will be banned from Heinz field from all things now. Also had a guy in front of me get really mad that this young guy keep spilling beer everywhere. Security finally came down hashed out the situation, and told the guy he had to settle down or get removed. That was after a lot of f bombs from the security guy. Classy. Then in the 4th quarter I saw a couple Steelers fans or maybe Steelers fans vs Ravens fans going at it, one guy was in a choke head lock. A police officer came from field level into the stands to break it up. He was like spiderman it was crazy on he climbed into the stands.
It was pretty dumb evening for Steelers fans. They must have thought we were Eagles fans for the day or something,

 

I keep thinking that eventually athletes, and the general public will realize that what you post on social media can and will have repercussions, but things like this continue to happen.....
It's one thing to be a dumb ass... it's another thing entirely to show it to the entire world

I guess in this instance you can buy the judge the book by it's cover. The "RED" hoodie gave him away. Apparently a fan who pranks the media. At the least most people wear some approximation of the colors of the team when you're going to drop dollars on a playoff game.

I know exactly what you mean and how you feel. I actually have some young relatives who bought a "selfie stick" which is apparently an extension pole you can put your phone on to get a wider/better angle for selfies.
