I wonder why perkins wasn't brought up off the PS? he has to be farther along with the playbook than tate with the short week.

I still think Josh Harris should get the most carries. He knows the playbook better than Tate will. But, if something would happen to Harris in the game, they would be down to a little guy in Dre Archer. Tate can be serviceable at this point. He is pretty good at short yardage too.

Archer shouldn't be in the backfield trying to pass block.

I was going to post a topic about who all is out there to bring in for veteran depth. I forgot about Tate. I think they need to bring in somebody just in case. They could cut someone like J. Brown or Ventrone if they wanted to make room.

Harris will be the starter (unless Tate or whoever) blow him away during practice. Archer will see more time than usual (hopefully going out wide and getting in space more). And whoever they sign will be an insurance policy and probably get a few carries.

Either way I think they pretty much have to bring in someone and that someone will need to play at least a little during the game.

If he's there strictly as insurance against Harris getting hurt, fine, but I hope he doesn't rock the boat if he's not getting any carries or enough carries to satisfy him.

If Bell can't go, it only makes sense to have someone else there. There are probably worse options out there.
I'm more intrigued by who they cut to get him on the roster. Do the send Ike or Troy to IR? Cut Cam Thomas because he sucks?

It makes the most sense really since he hasn't seen the field in a couple months.

    like adding the depth
hope and think Harris will be good because we know it all has to do with the improvement of the oline.

definitely hoping to see Troy back there as well (we all know what that means):smiley1:

Yeah, just thought we'd seen some promise there. I'm sure they made the right move.

JB has some potential there...but they are in good shape with the WRs right now. I'm sure they didnt want to IR Ike/Troy...and we know they werent going to cut Landry. As i mentioned above i figured either JB or Ventrone...and ST play (and DB injuries) gives ventrone the nod to stay.

First person that came to mind was Ventrone, but he's been playing pretty well on ST.
