that the Steelers are going to the Superbowl?

I don't know, I think I'm starting to believe. No team impresses me in AFC, our offense has weapons everywhere, and our front 7 is a little more solidified.

If our DB's can hold up I think we got a chance? What do all of you guys think?

The game this Sunday will be a better measuring stick to see where they stack up as a quality playoff caliber team, if they don't beat the bengals in their biggest game of the year with a division title on the line, then how can we expect them to win a super bowl ?????

I think we have as good of chance as any . The 1 Team I fear will knock us out is the Pats. We don't match up well and Coach Bill will make our weak CB'S look like swiss cheese.

I think Denver could try and do the same I just don't think they will figure out our D' weaknesses as much as Coach Bill would be.

It doesn't feel like the 05 season but I'll take it. I hope we just continue to get better and see improvement from our pass rush and corners. We need the offense to stop settling for field goals.

I'd like to be optimistic, but it's not feeling like a Super Bowl run right now. Both the defense and offense struggle a lot with consistency. We are capable of going a long way and capable of laying a big fat egg in our first game..... I'd say odds are about equal either way.

It's definitely not a feeling like when we were 15-1 going into the playoffs, nor the feeling like our defense is #1 and dominating.

Hey who knows. We've got a ticket to the post-season, so anything can happen. The team is very healthy for this time of year, is playing some smarter football, and looks to be getting hot at the right time. Only one AFC team scares me, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. A lot can happen in the next couple weeks.

I worry about our Pass D besides that we can roll just hoping manning and brady are taken out in the AFC
and someone takes out Rodgers in the NFC then we should roll.....

not even the cheats? they're the only team that I'm worried about , Manning is hurting and goes down like a feather, couple bit hits and he's in retirement

Let's make it magical. If we play hard nosed, tough physical football and win the turnover battle we got this.
screw my dallas winning it all prediction. Steelers got this. It's our year.

No, Brady at home against the Steelers defense doesn't make me feel confident or even going Manning at home. I don't think the secondary can hold up, Mitchell and Troy in coverage is not a good thing.

Getting to the playoffs is half the battle. Mission (almost) accomplished. I want the Division. ;)

After that, the team that gets or stays healthy and gets hot is usually the one who wins. We're mostly healthy. We still need some warming up. Sunday night will go a long way for that.

And yes, I'm getting a little tingling. ;)

We will go as far as our offense carries us, and our defense bends, but doesn't break.

That being said I think this Offense is a better one than in 2005,2008, or even the 2010 teams that went the the Superbowl.

I absolutely agree - and in other words, "Our 10 wins this season mean nothing if we don't.......".

After watching the Bungles abuse that senior citizen at QB for the Broncos last night, I went back and re-watched our early December "trouncing" of Cincy just to compare notes and refresh my feeble memory. That game was much closer than I remembered (in spite of the final score (42-21) and wasn't decided until two key plays nearly mid 4th qtr - Carrot Top's botched fake hand off fumble and the 94 yd #7 to #10 bomb. AJ Green murdered us that game but fortunately Bell matched him almost yard for yard with combined rushing/receptions in the mid-200's. The obvious key to that and any other game from here on out - keep it close and pray for a few big momentum shifting plays. This has worked well for us many times this year in spite of a chaotic secondary.

We have one of the best offenses in the entire league, so sure we have a chance to go all the way. If the defense plays like we did against KC (gets sacks, limits to FGs, and wins turnover battle) there isn't a team remaining that we can't beat. Our D has stiffened against the run over the course of the season, and if we can make teams one dimensional we can win. Our team kinda reminds me of Peyton's Colts teams before the defense got good enough for him to win one. Only difference is that Ben plays way better than Peyton does in the post season.

We are healthy and hungry, and with a win vs the Bengals we will be on a good winning streak. After starting 3-3, we have the possiblity to go 8-2 to close the season and win the division. I'd call us a "hot" team too.

I don't see how this season can't be special.

40 year anniversary of winning our first 1. Heck, we could face the same 3 teams to make it to the superbowl like we did in 2005, and face the hawks too lol. We would also be 11-5.

Make the playoffs and roll the dice. Sure, on paper we don't look good against most matchups but we didn't in 2005 either.

Ben has experience, he wants to beat Bradshaw in rings, he knows his timeline is fading. He is hungry. This team is hungry.

It all starts with Bengals. We beat em, we have a good shot of going all the way.

    Yeah, me too,lol

With one more win, the Steelers are only one less win than they had in 2008 and 2010. In '08 I believe they were never down by more than 7 points, at least until the 4th quarter of the 15th game against the Titans. But this year, the team has looked awful at times. So, with that being said, I'm not as optimistic going into the playoffs as I have been in other years. But I believe that they will win early in the playoffs.

BTW, did you know the Steelers record in years ending in 4 since 1974? Each year they made it to the Championship game.
    1974 - Won the superbowl
1984 - AFC Championship game against Dolphins
1994 - AFC Championship game against Chargers
2004 - AFC Championship game against Cheaters
    2014 - ?

This. We have Ben, I think we have a shot every year.

They dismantled the Colts, Ravens and Cincy and knocked off KC.

    Scored 30 points 4 times
    Scored 40 points 2 times
    Scored 50 points 1 time

I don't care about the Bucs, Saints and Jets game, theres no competition to play down to in the playoffs.
